You don’t have to waste a DVD to install Windows 7.You can install it directly from the hard disk by extracting the contents of the downloaded iso file.

This method loads the Pre-Installation Environment,so you can access the command prompt ( By pressing Shift+F10 ) before installation and make any customisations like installing to VHD etc

if someone have a bootable usb . then just chainloading the main file will work ( bootmgr )

Take it easy, Agni.

In your Tutorial you overwrite the current bootsector (loading NTLDR) with the one loading BOOTMGR, by using bootsect.exe /NT60 .

Rather obviously this is something that is NOT the "safest" thing in the world.

If anything goes bad, for any reason, the result is an unbootable system.

What maanu meant is that you can leave the bootsector as is, and thus eliminate the risk of having an unbootable system.

Besides the use of an external USB, one could:

• add a line to existing BOOT.INI:
  

  C:\grldr="grub4dos"

• add grldr to root of the drive
• add a menu.lst with at least these lines (or enter them at grub4dos command prompt):
  

  title Windows 7
  
  find --set-root /bootmgr
  
  chainloader /bootmgr

This way, if anything goes wrong, you have a way back (and still without using external media) .

In this kind of "business" there are at least two golden rules :

if ain't broke don't fix it
