I was trying to avoid an additional process after capture, but if we need to defragmet it, if planning to keep it for non inmediate use, the benefit is lost. But this option may work very fine if we are planning to make a new fresh reinstall of our system after drivers capture, as when we want to get rid of all unwanted additional software installed by the OEM on new equipments.

The problem with 7z or zip is the folder or a selected sub-folder needs to be decompressed before use it.

But nevertheless there is no doubt 7z compression is the best options for saving space and long term keeping, also a single file is loaded/copied faster to Internet storage or to a USB device.

LZX Compacted with Wof_Compress is another option, it doesn't require decompresion before use, and I think the size can be very aceptable. This could also be a good option for medium to long term keeping depending of our available space. This works fine as long as the folder is keeped into same drive where it was compressed, if copied to another drive it loses the compression, but it can be moved into same dive (as during defragmenting the drive) without losing compression.

But of course all depends of users preferences, this are only suggested alternatives they can use.

About the forum: it has happened to me sometimes when posting all the post is misconfigured or even lost, so from some time ago I select all the content on the post and copy it before loading, if something wrong happends, editing the post and pasting the info saves the day, and this has worked for me several times, but anyway as you said at least the forum is online.

Now I will go to bed it is 4:56 am here, see you tomorrow.

Double Driver fails for me in Win10XPE x64 Environment with Message IMAGEHLP.DLL not found

I confirm that the problem of IMAGEHLP.DLL not found is solved by making new Win10XPE boot.wim file

according to New Win10XPE-Win10XPE_2021-10-27.zip  Release and using Win10_21H2_x64_ISO

Manual:   VHD_WIMBOOT.pdf   - Download:  Win10_21H2 x64 ISO and  Win11 ISO from Microsoft

Hi wimb

Just noticed we forgot about the good old tool msconfig, (\Windows\System32\msconfig.exe).

Present in all Win versions since I remember.

Sure, msconfig.exe should be included and will be added in next version ...
