It shouldn't be needed??? Just copy the ISO file over.

With USB flash drive everything is OK, but when I try to boot it from my USB HDD Tails stop to boot after few seconds.

I have no problem booting Tails from USB HDD when using method mentioned in tutorial No.93 from RMPrepUSB site.

Hmm - seems I deleted it. I have put a copy in the Alternate Download areas now. I will add it in to the next version.

Tails doesn't support persistence as it is a secure OS. Also you cannot access the boot partition once you have booted to Tails.

The mnu file support a \tails-rw file, but this is for persistent storage only - if you change settings or Desktop wallpaper then the changes won't be persistent.

I have added two blog posts about adding Desinfect 2014 to Easy2Boot with persistence (either normal 'LiveCD persistence' or  Virus update/Signature persistence.)

You can now UEFI or MBR boot to Desinfect with virus signature updates working, from an Easy2Boot USB drive.

Are you asking how to get this to boot in Easy2Boot?

if so which version   32-bit or 64-bit  - linux  BIOS, linux UEFI or Windows PE version.

The Windows PE version only installs to a USB flash drive - so you have to use a spare USB flash drive for this. When the USB flash drive has been made, use the MPI Tool   MPI_FAT32  to convert the USB drive contents to a .imgPTN file  (drag-and-drop the   USB drive letter  e.g. U:) onto the Desktop  MPI_AUTO icon.  Then copy the .imgPTN file to your Easy2Boot USB drive.

If using the linux versions, you can make an ISO file and copy it to E2B drive.

If you make a UEFI boot ISO - you need to use the MPI_AUTO Desktop shortcut to convert it to a .imgPTN file if you want to UEFI-boot from it.

I read somwhere on your sites (rmprepusb or easy2boot.com) that bsd variants could not be booted

with easy2boot

But howabout jibbed (NetBSD based), it's a bootable LiveCD.

Could it be booted using easy2boot?

I would like to add Minitool Power Data Recovery Boot Disk to E2B. It's a Linux boot disk that uses isolinux. I want to bypass the isolinux menu since I am adding it to E2B. The isolinux.cfg contains:

menu label Boot from Power Data Recovery Boot Disk

kernel /boot/bzImage console=/dev/null

append initrd=/boot/tinycore.gz ramdisk_size=153600 root=/dev/ram0 rw

From what I've read you can convert the above to grub4dos and this is what I did:

iftitle [if exist %MFOLDER%/iso/PwrDRBoot.iso] PwrDR \n MiniTool Power Data Recovery

kernel /boot/bzImage console=/dev/null ramdisk_size=153600 root=/dev/ram0 rw

initrd /boot/tinycore.gz

What else do I need so that the above entries can access the iso for this to work?

Edit:

map (bd)%MFOLDER%/iso/PwrDRBoot.iso (0xff)
map --hook
root (0xff)

If you copy the whole ISO contents to a FAT32 E2B drive then your first menu may work.

Maybe read http://rmprepusb.blo...o-boot-iso.html

Also, see http://www.rmprepusb...tutorials/tails  the very last example.

It works with all of the statements listed above. map and root statements preceding kernel statement.
