Since Vista and Win7 are out of the question, i would like to use XP, but which version?
Should i better stick to a 32Bit XP or better get myself a 64Bit one?
What are the advantages / disadvantages in real life?

Never say noReminding: no limitation of x64 driver usage (certification) like M$ decide to do with vista/win7 etc.
I would say it was MS best shot. The fastest and stablest Windows ever.Howevever, on August 14, 2007, Microsoft has issued Windows Update KB932596 to Windows XP 64-bit which brings the Windows XP PatchGuard up to par with the Windows Vista PatchGuard

sandboxie do not have x64 driver (I guess SbieDrv.sys)Never say no
You cannot use sandboxie because such a limitation
Average Programs works greatCan i get problems with 32Bit programs on XP64? Average Programs, not games.
Totally AgreeSadly they discontinued development in real operation systems
I would say it was MS best shot. The fastest and stablest Windows ever.

Some hardware manufacturers are better than others at producing good 64 bit drivers for older hardware.

I'm actually more concerned about drivers for new hardware. Some hardware manufacturers are better than others at producing good 64 bit drivers for older hardware.

Some hardware manufacturers are better than others at producing good 64 bit drivers for older hardware and for newer hardware too.

Well earlier version did have, but since limitation are introduced by an update x64 version no longer makes sense.sandboxie do not have x64 driver (I guess SbieDrv.sys)

Patching the windows kernel may not so easyI guess there is an "acceptable easy way" (compared with other windows x64) to use sandboxie Version 3.01 (64-bit) on xpx64

what i meant with "acceptable easy way"Patching the windows kernel may not so easy
Time to sleep now, tomorrow will be a verry 64-bit day for meTo use Sandboxie 3.01 on Windows XP 64-bit, you must first remove Windows Update KB932596.
