I have built a USB pen drive from Sardu that boots Puppy and DSL linux. Can i also get it to boot ubuntu-9.10-server-amd64.iso? I have the ISO on the pendrive, but can not get it to boot. Here is the listing in the menu i am trying to use.:
#boot di UBUNTU-Server-64
label Boot from UBUNTU-Server-64
menu label Boot from ^UBUNTU-Server-64
MENU INDENT 1
kernel memdisk
append initrd=/ubuntu-9.10-server-amd64.iso boot=casper
#

It looks like it starts to load but hangs when it says Booting.

Well after some more playing around this seemed to work, but i do not think it is right:

#boot di Floppy UBUNTU-Server-64
label Boot from Floppy UBUNTU-Server-64
menu label Boot from Floppy ^UBUNTU-Server-64
MENU INDENT 1
kernel memdisk
append iso initrd=/ubuntu-9.10-server-amd64.iso

See Here for boot from iso with memdisk.
I don't like this method, the USB has to be defragmented or I often have trouble booting.

Thanks.

What would be the better way to run Ubuntu here?
