Restart youre Computer

Press F8 repeatedly (pressing f8 brings up the "boot manager". The only option available is the Operating System "microsoft windows xp")

Press Enter to boot "microsoft windows xp", but as soon as you Press Enter, Press F8 to bring up the "Windows Advanced Boot Options menu". You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears.

Umm.............I feel this post/topic is useless. This method can be applied to get most halfway-modern PCs into Safe Mode. And not just XP, but Vista and 7 as well. F8 doesnt work so well on 8/8.1/10 as on previous Windows, from what I've read Fast Startup and Hibernate can interfere. Why didn't you at least name the topic something like "How to get most PCs running Windows into Safe Mode". And besides this, what you're posting is already common knowledge for many. At least contribute something unique/useful.

And you also sometimes post isolated, weird random crap topics like what a particular driver for a particular PC is. Reboot.pro is for booting methods and similar discussions, it doesn't have so much to do with drivers in a generalized sense.

Well the topic by TheHive does seem to be related to booting and similar, seemingly has nothing to do with "drivers", which however are a very good topic for Reboot.pro, like any other one, BTW.

Should members submit new topics to your approval before posting them?

I'm quite controlling and dictatorial and like to try to micro-manage everything I feel directly affects me, with a "I don't give a **** about anyone else but me" and a "my way or the highway" attitude, so yes, if it were up to me, all posts here would require my personal approval, posts not meeting my standards would be deleted and the OP banned. Infrequent posters' accounts would be deleted.

I suppose this is due to certain childhood events that occurred long ago. I would never be suited to be a admin/moderator here for these reasons, because I have a conceptual understanding of what an online technical community is and should be like, but don't really "feel" or "care" about community. This is the case regardless of how high my post counts eventually rises, how prominent I become here, and whether I become a dev/scripter/etc here (if I did then I be certain to never directly post my content here, and to ensure it "lives" only in places that I have full legal control of, and with a license personally written by me and enforced by legal counsel that I employ).

Umm.............I feel this post/topic is useless.

Ah! no. not to me.

This method can be applied to get most halfway-modern PCs into Safe Mode. And not just XP, but Vista and 7 as well. F8 doesnt work so well on 8/8.1/10 as on previous Windows

I didnt see any post were you mention this.

Why didn't you at least name the topic something like "How to get most PCs running Windows into Safe Mode".

These posts are tests im running on the actual hardware/OS at the time of posting. These tutorials if not helpfull to you, can be ignored by you.

And besides this, what you're posting is already common knowledge for many.

Ah! no. Again. Just because you might know it, doesnt mean is common knowledge. If you reread the post, its not just simply pressing F8 once. Which should be, but for the HP Mini, it seems to not be the case. First time running into this double F8 method.

At least contribute something unique/useful.

Bam! If someone is looking for a tested method for an HP mini 110 booting  into safe mode then they can use this info.

And you also sometimes post isolated, weird random crap topics like what a particular driver for a particular PC is.

As stated before, testing on actual mentioned particular hardware.

Reboot.pro is for booting methods and similar discussions,

Yes and No. Thats why we have different sections for different topics.

it doesn't have so much to do with drivers in a generalized sense.

Youre right. The topic is covering a specific thing not a general one.

I'm quite controlling and dictatorial and like to try to micro-manage everything I feel directly affects me

Unless you have an HP Mini, this might not be helpfull to you.

Wonko has similar views. But has chilled a bit. He is more helpfull then before.

, with a "I don't give a **** about anyone else but me" and a "my way or the highway" attitude,

Never cared much for titles or post counts. Just posting what might help some else in a certain pickle.

:sos: :magic:  :ouch: :go_fish: . You need to relax more.
