Yesterday were 39 degrees in Frankfurt. Trains stopped on their lines due to complications. People trying to find some shadow, not easy.

Last time I ever saw such weather in Europe, was back in 2003. At the time in Alentejo, Portugal. In that year/season I've visited Paris for the first time and the city was almost empty on the national monuments area because of the heat wave cautions, some people had died on the metro. Today is nowhere comfortable outside. I'm doing a siesta. Already miss the rain and cold again.. :angry7:

that years was the first with so high temps during summer...there was , like nowadays , a lots of people dying because of that event..

i love to do the siesta either when it is so hot   :suda:  , it is a good thing to regain energy in the middle of the day..that helps to get up at 6 o'clock or so , without any buzzer .

here temps are a bit less high because of the sea that calms down ...but center of country has same temps as you in Germany..

these are measured "not under the sun" and others few rules...so they are always higher , beside that its good to remind that human body temp is 37...

so the world is turning unlivable because of the cars and others air-coolers...plus the liquids they use...people are renewing once a year the liquid of car's air-cooler...this product has only one effect on earth : making temps go higher so people buy more air-coolers instead of turning things off...plus the wild or not animals have NO choice...and they will not survive very long at these levels...california is actually burning , after five years without rains...

Yes, things are crazy. In Portugal, fighting the fire has become a profitable business and the guilty part is always the heat, despite the fact that so many of these fires start around midnight.

I'd normally be against air-cooling, especially in cars but this summer was very difficult to travel without one, was passing some time in the north of Italy and temperature outside was 39 degrees, inside the car were 40 and somehow we had to travel, couldn't do a break to cool it off.

RyanAir flights are quite nice. Not so much comfort but very affordable prices. I brought my family here in January (two people) with a cost of 64 EUR (back and forth, >2000Km).

i do not like planes but prices of ryanair are very cool and make travelling affordable .

cars are a good idea.... but the people managing the market are not

they are always making bigger motors , bigger cars....

i would prefer to live on earth like it was at the da vinci or even " Julius Cesar " than what it is now...

beside the cars there are too much roads , highways...that take a lot lot lot of space... :bounce8:

that is bad that they never made 2 ways-railways and make cars allowed to use them...no needs of google'cars with rails ..no accident and less energy needed .

the other big advantage is the low impact on the land and living population...and the air being fresh with odors of nature...

with train may be riding horses/elephant could still be possible  :dubbio: ?

fires are a big problem , they kill trees and turn land into deserts..

the main bad thing is the latency , i am sure that in Portugal , they do like here : only little houses with little gardens...so that destroy the nature with no place to go ...while some buildings could reduce costs of every thing and make some structures like hospital possible at very low price :stretcher:   ..keeping the space for sports or agriculture or even hunting ...  :victory:

one thing seems sure , the global warming is slow , but going back with temps seems even more slower ...

our era is like the meteorite that punched earth and made a climate change...impact itself took minutes...the time when all was back to normal took  million years
