Can someone explain how to inject a filterdriver to WinPE?

I tried it with DISM GUI 4.0, with the WinPE (made with MariumReflect).

I can include the diskmod (0.0.2.2) filter driver, but i have no idea how to activate it.

Regedit works but there a no entries in the registry.

Can somone explain how and what has to be edited?

Thanx in advance,.

What EXACTLY have you tried doing "with DISM GUI 4.0"?

What EXACTLY have you tried doing with "Regedit"?

It sounds like you are trying to add the registry keys to the booted PE?

Just in case, in the booted PE the Registry is (by design) "volatile", you need to apply the Registry changes to the base Registry when it is offline, so that they remain "sticky" or re-add them at each boot through a startup script or similar (if applicable to Diskmod), see :

http://www.boot-disk.com/quest_wim.htm

Thanks a lot.

I found all important informations at the linked site.

Most important hint:

Export a complete registry with and without installed disk mod patch.

Compared both exported files with winmerge and added the difference to the winpe registry.

Copyed and renamed the driver files to the req. destination-directories.

Now i must add the winloader-patch for unsigned drivers.

(It allready works, but i have to choose the unsigned optin in the bootmenu by hand)

Thanks a lot.

Just in case, the "usual approach" is to do a couple "snapshots" of the Registry before and after installation with a tool like Regshot.

Please remember that there are several versions around of Regshot, the "original" one is here:

https://sourceforge..../files/regshot/

But there is/was a 2.x version, see:

My "diskmod" WinPE is working fine since a half year.

Now I tried to inject it to my Win7 install.wim.

First I had some problems, but after injecting KB 3033929 the signed diskmod is working fine.
