I'm working on a (win7) PE which follows my old "native" concept. Everything should be only used from the source CD.

That avoids some well known and often used script constructions like "When language is xx, copy xx.files from wim, and import xx.reg into registry; but when language is yy, ..."

My current stage seems to be well.

But I see some items, where I do not know whether they are originally by Billy the Door, or can be avoided by me.

Unfortunatelly I do not have "strange language" OS installed.

So my simple question:

On your PC installation: Do you see something comparable with my screen shoot, or do you see everything in your language?

Here my screen shoot for zh-TW, but I'm sure that this can be expanded to other languages, because it's only an image.

Thanks!

Peter,

can you better explain what you are asking?

Are you referring to the name of shortcuts on the desktop?

Or to the title "Computer Management"?

Everything "Readable by 'ASCII' user" is part of the question.

I still fail to understand the question, actually to be more exact you completely failed to clarify it in any way, so I doubt that the following info may be useful, however:

  1. the text under the "Notepad" icon, spelling "Notepad" in your image, in Italian that would be "Blocco Note".
  2. the text caption (windows title) on the open window in your image that reads "Computer Management" would be "Gestione Computer".

I got it.

Most windows applications contain a more or less localised description as resource.

As far as possible I use this description as shortcut caption.
