Hey is there any progeckts that supports UEFI "Unified Extensible Firmware Interface"?
I’m mainly looking to turn on/off sata headers on the motherboard!
Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by turn on/off sata headers??? on the motherboard

Do you mean change the settings on the Mobo? or somthing else? And is this really a Win8 issue? (since you posted in the Win8PE forum)...

AFAIK, a win based PE should be able to boot in a UEFI system...but changing the Mobo settings is something done in the "bios" (or UEFI) environment.

Maybe a better way to ask is what can we do with PE and UEFI for configuring settings on are motherboards
Can we turn on/off on bord devices or disable integrated hardware?
Using PE and UEFI
I only ask about accessing UEFI within a PE due to I need audio to use a computer or configuring Bios!

Well to the best of my understanding UEFI is still in erly development and most motherboard developers have little documentation or advertisement for it.
And operating systems may not be supported “Windows Vista supports UEFI booting since Service Pack 1, but only in 64Bit”
Do not know if this will become the new standard or not but it will most likely be for newer bords and operating systems such as windows 8!
From wikipedia
“Microsoft will demand that computers with the "Designed for Windows 8" logo to use UEFI with secure boot (which will only allow signed software to run on the device) enabled by default.[39][40] Red Hat developer Matthew Garrett raised concerns over the requirement for secure booting to be enabled by default and Microsoft responded by saying that there was no mandate from Microsoft that prevents secure booting from being disabled in firmware or that keys could not be updated and managed.[39][40] Microsoft later reversed this position, mandating that disabling SecureBoot on ARM-based systems "MUST NOT be possible."[41]

Windows 8 Logo on UEFI is only for 64bit. 32bit Windows 8 (or any Windows) is not compatible (read:supported) with UEFI hardware. And it is becoming a standard which is a real pain.

Intel Server boards have their driver CDs able to be bootable and interact with the EFI shell, so I would presume it is possible... but I never took a look at it to see if they used a PE or not.

EDIT: I forgot to note that x86 Windows 8 will not have secure boot (or UEFI) firmware to bother with.
