Hi All,

i have created a small iso managment tool like "ISO Manager". Works with Windows AND Linux

Including sources and compiled binaries (Standard and UPX packed, unpack what you like)

Writen in FreePascal (Lazarus).

Download here: http://d-forensik.de/download/?did=12

Review and suggestions welcome.

Denny

Welcome to the forums, Denny!

Thanks for writing this! I just tested it on Windows and it works perfectly. Source looks good.

I've been so bogged down with the firmware I haven't had time to update the Firmware Updater or ISO Manager, but it's coming...

Until then, this seems like a perfect lightweight solution to manage your isostick!

:good:  Concentrate on the firmware. I think this is whats the most users like to see. Me too.

Has someone tested to compile it on a mac?

Thank You Denny for ISOstickhelper. I've become pretty frustrated with the ISO stick and have mostly given up on using it. I did download your file but it does not seem to launch even when I click the .exe. Could you please add some basic instructions and hopefully can get it to work.
Thanks again

I am in the same boat as Rocketdog.  In Windows 8.1 r2 x64 i have a directory called ROOT:\_ISO (E2B structure) filled with isos, a file called ROOT:\config\iso_filename.txt and run the isoStickHelper_Win.exe from the root or within \_ISO.  The program populates my isos in the gui and writes entries to iso_filename.txt but when i click on an iso it flashes yellow and does nothing.  I'll admit im a little ignorant as to what this is supposed to do, but i ASSUME it mounts the iso as a virtual drive.  I have imdisk installed, UAC disabled and am using an admin account.  I was just wondering if there is something obvious i'm missing.

In a perfect world i would i would like to run the exe in \_ISO (saves time scanning a large USB) and have the config file reside in the same dir for portability and a clean USB:\ root.

What OS do you use?

Windows? I had never problems to start the binary. XP/Win7/Win8 .. work on all.

Linux: Some distributions can start direct the "..Linux.exe" by DoubleClick in the File-Manager window, some other want no ".exe" extension to do this, and some other works it from comand line only (with chmod +x)

isoStickHelper works well ! It does not more. Yellow flash tells you iSH has succesfully writen to iso_filename.txt. The IsoStick notice this change and load the iso to his virtual drive. Under Windows should this work 3-4 seconds after "yellow flash" without re-insertion of the stick.

If you get not two drives (Flash-Stick and CD/DVD Drive) i think some is wrong with your stick. Can you boot from a iso with your stick?

Hi Denny,

I'm having trouble downloading isoStickHelper because of some broken links. Here are the problems:

1. Clicking on http://d-forensik.de/download/?did=12 (the link in your post below) takes me to a page that appears to be a latest blog update or other news. The title at the top says, "Magnet Forensics Releases Internet Evidence Finder v6" and the page doesn't mention ISH at all.

2. If I go to http://d-forensik.de/downloads, I see ISH listed with the link http://d-forensik.de...sostickhelper/. But when I go to that URL and click on the download link http://d-forensik.de...sostickhelper/, I'm taken to an error page with the message, "Dateipfad nicht definiert." (Google says the English translation is "File path is not defined.")

3. The screenshot in your post isoStickHelper-Screenshoot.png isn't displaying, and it's underlying link http://d-forensik.de...Screenshoot.png takes me to a page that says, "Das ist irgendwie peinlich, oder?". If I put "isoStickHelper-Screenshoot.png" in the search box on that page and click SEARCH, I'm taken to a page that says, "Nichts gefunden" ("nothing found").

Can you help?
