Hey, I have been busy doing other things as of late. I am looking for anyone interested in converting microwinX from .cmd scripts into winbuilder.
and of coarse I will be able to help with debugging and so on.

Anyone interested in helping, send me a PM or leave a message here.

I didn't know exactly where to post this, Nuno Brito , but I would like microwinX as a option in winbuilder once its setup and working also, if that is alright with you.

Hi gdogg,

I'm happy that you want to make microwinx a project for winbuilder. I always liked your project and I hope that it's developement will go on.
So I will help any attempt to revive microwinX and make it compatible win winbuilder.

Is there a way to get your latest version and have a look to it?

I can do one up with explorer as shell still, if that works for you? Its done, software needs its own .dlls, which is easy to do, and a better choice for running program off a drive, without os support anymore.

@TheHive
Microwinx is a project that gdogg put together to have a minimal XP OS, here:

I'm currently vorking (not very intensive) on puzzleXP.
It should start with a minimizes package and give the user tha ability to add packages as he needs.

The minimized package I'm building by 'try and error': take away something.
If it still works: ok; if not: undo and try the next.

But my windows directory is still above 200 MB. :loleverybody:

If your microwinX is pure Bill G. (no patched or replaced files) it could be the 'already present' base package.

I think you should join your efforts :w00t:

In fact I was hoping Peter can make the basic version with WB. Because he is probably the only person who can re-create working Regestry without installing Windows and maybe produce some kind of "universal" regestry on the fly like in BartPE (but not as limited). I'd like it can boot on any possible hardware like BartPE or WB builds can :loleverybody:

PS If you have a look at Windows XP Fundamentals for Leagacy PCs you can find that it is a system when Windows File Protection is turned off without hacking any files (not a nLite way, for example) :w00t:

I have no problems with this.

For the publicity which may not know this:
In the background smiley did a lot of authoring work in the nativeEx idea.

Send me PM and I will provide you what you need.

Hi!
Any progress with puzzleXP? :loleverybody:

I'm so sorry.
Currently I'm working inside this forum nearly as it would be my profession.
And some tasks are more, some tasks are less actual.

So: No progress, but still a folder inside my WinBuilder folder ...
