Hey Wimb,

The copping, although progressing, was going very slowly, so I decided to reboot with the "Drv" (and other folders) moved to the root of the USB. It appears as though this time the proper NVidia ATA driver were found rather than generic ones and the copying is happening much faster and the drives have not disappeared.

Thanks for the input.

Hello Wimb,

I would like to add the contextual menu  "Bypass file system security checks"
by using the AccessGainDriver filter available here :
http://www.hobeanu.c...ccessgain-tool/

1) I tried the function manually inside 7PE, but the three methods failed (acc  gain.sys copied to system32 directory already):
a- right click on accgain.inf : install => dialog suggesting notepad to edit ! No install procedure.
b- command drvload accgain.inf => error 0xe0000102
c- command fltmc load AccessGainDriver => error 0x80070002, specified file not found

2) What is the recommended way to add contextual menu item to explorer in Make_PE3?

Note The AccessGainDriver seems to be available also as a script for WinBuilder LiveXP.

Thank you.

May be this helps

http://msdn.microsof...1(v=vs.85).aspx

Open Admin Command window at system32 and run:

RUNDLL32.EXE SETUPAPI.DLL,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 path-to-inf\infname.inf

@wimb

Thank you very much. It works! In fact just copy the 2 files accgain.sys and accgain.inf to x:\windows\inf then run the rundll32 command (could be done during Make_PE3 build using pe3_mod). Then after completion of rundll32 command, the accgain.sys file got copied to x:\windows\system32\drivers directory, then afterwards all the fltmc commands (load, attach, detach, unload) work flawlessly.

Now the remaining question is how to add contextual menu item to explorer, like having "Mount imdisk virtual disk" item?

Finally the contextual menu is not needed. I simply use a batch file invoked from pstart. Inside the batch file, just a choice of enable/disable the file system security checks, and a choice of the drive letter to apply.

Thanks. Do you know where I can get a XP live CD project? This page on the is forum doesn't work, their both dead links; the Live XP_rec, and the Win 7 PE_SE.

What is the difference between the two download files? Do you know where I can download  the win 7 build, that link is dead too.

Thanks

What is the difference between the two download files?

You need both files and on Extract with 7-zip they are combined and give LX.061412.exe

Does Make_PE3_46 work for you to make 7PE ?

I made a 64-bit winpe and I want "driver_fix.cmd" automatically starts how can I do?

In folder PE3_mod\PE3_add\amd64\Windows\SysWOW64 then edit startnet.cmd

remove :: so that you see

start "Driver Fix PE3 - Wait ...." /wait "X:\Windows\Sysnative\driver_fix_bs.cmd"

Then rebuild.

startnet.cmd will call driver_fix_bs.cmd

I keep getting the message that smartscreen filter says the file is unsafe and refuses to download the file (or any on that mediafire page).

Well, that's all in a day's work. :w00t:

Basically each and every file that contains some tools and particularly if in the form of executable, is flagged by one antivirus (or the other) and/or sites hosting them are flagged by this antimalware app (or the other).

You need to take a choice, you either trust Smartscreen (and I presume the Internet Explorer and/or Windows 8) or you risk the integrity of your PC by using a less picky download method (thus trusting an unknown stranger on the internet) and "theoretically" downloading a very dangerous piece of code.

You cannot have both "top security" :dubbio: and do reckless things :w00t: such as building a PE in a non fully-Microsoft-originated way.

A few past (similar) threads:

http://reboot.pro/to...ious-site-list/

http://reboot.pro/to...ve-usb-creator/

http://reboot.pro/topic/14776-trojan/

Basically each and every tool ever hosted or linked to from boot-land or reboot.pro has had some issue of this kind. :(

Wonko

I am having this same problem unless I use 7z 4.65.

Host is WIN 7 x64 SP1

Make_PE3 4.6

Windows 7 Source = C:\Make_Pe3\WIN7x64_SOURCE <-(WIN 7 x64  with SP1)

Arc = AMD64

Get Win 7 Files and without AIK and Make 7 PE.iso

EXP

Thanks for reporting this problem.
I will check and find solution.

Can you try again. At first sight I have no problem here.

What version are you making (MIN BS EXP or Media) ?
What is your Win7 source - real DVD or mounted ISO - 32 or 64-bits - (or drive where win 7 is installed)
What is your host OS - XP or Win7 - 32 or 64-bits
What program did you use - Make_PE3.cmd or Make_PE3.exe - and what option did you use

It is required to extract Make_PE3_48.exe to the root of your drive.
Make_PE3_48.exe does not contain Adobe Flash - You need to make use of the NEW plugin.
The plugin has the same folder structure as Make_PE3 and to insert the plugin you can
Extract Make_PE3_Flash_V11.exe to the same drive as where Make_PE3 folder is located.

Make_PE3 can be used in Windows 8/7/XP Multi-Boot environment
Source can be fresh installed Win7 SP0 without Updates or Win7 DVD SP0 or SP1 - x86 or x64 versions
Adobe Flash V 11 plugin supports x86 and x64 version of 7 PE

I would like to make the rear windows of Yannick Lavignes DR400 opaque to more closely represent a 135CDI bird. Ive been trying to do it with the DXT/BMP tool to no avail. Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Norm
