Hallo,

:loleverybody:

Viele Grüße,

Guido.

I'll reply in english, sorry, as my german is really bad...

I received numerous reports about Anna2019 sending "spam for male" (is there such thing as spam for female? not the topic here... ;) ).

User is now banned.

As for your question, what to with these, for now the best that can be done is to file in a report via the forum tools.

As for spam in general, it seems there is an increased number of spammers on reboot.pro these days.

Seems like we are getting many 'delete my account' requests probably because this "Anna2019" managed to contact many random users.

Many of these users registered years ago and probably forgot about this forum.

Hello erwan.l

(is there such thing as spam for female? not the topic here ... [ ;)]).

<- Yes, the same humor as mine! ;)

You are right at all points! Anna2019 sent "Spam for Men". And also I saw many 'delete my account' requests. The Message from Anna2019 in my account ist gone. Did you delete it? Thank you!

How do I file in a report via the forum tools?

I also received that "Anna2019 has left you a comment on your profile" mail, if that's what the german guy is saying.

I'm not seeing any comment (at http://reboot.pro/us...abf/?tab=status) now, were they deleted along with her ban?

BTW, could she have collected our mail addresses too? I have been getting a little more spam in the last few days.

Deleting the user also deleted her comments on all user reboot.pro private messages.

I dont think any particular data was collected : it is probably just a more sophisticated bot than the average who managed to automatize sending messages (and/or leave comments on one's profile) to a lot of reboot.pro users via the private message forum system - and that eventually triggered mail messages to those members (like me) who have enabled (like me) the mail notifications.

Looks like this forum is getting popular these days for spammers...

Did "she" also send private messages to someone? I only received the profile comment notification. It's very strange really, why would someone who managed to register himself want to leave comments on profiles, when he could more effectively send private messages or create new posts/threads?

The only reasons I can imagine are some security problem in the profile comments feature (and not in the private messages or posting ones) or a completely accidental test, just to see if it could be done.

Maybe it's possible to inject scripts or other stuff in the profile comments, and so enable XSS attacks?

In any case, it would probably be better to at least enable "Allow me to approve comments before they are displayed on my profile" by default, for everyone (since you probably can't tell who left it off intentionally from those who just didn't know about it, maybe just switch it on to everyone, if one doesn't want it he can easily turn it off at the first approval request).

The German guy's name is likely Guido Eisenbeis, the german gui name might be ;) grafische Benutzeroberfläche.

I am happy about your humorous posting! :D

This happened to me because a few weeks ago I was looking for a simple program with a GUI. That's why I always had "GUI" in my mind and voila, the bug had happened.... It was thoughtful of Wonko the Sane to notice this! :P

I had been away for 10 years now, and when I come back in another 10 years, my "gui" posting is still here. *lol* And that's a good thing! Then I can laugh again. :)

Thank you for the "welcome back" and this useful forum!
