Hi sweet
as i have told in tutorial do as below:
1.put modified ntoskrnl.exe in c:\
2.go to command prompt, change to c: then type command below:
modifyPE.exe ntoskrnl.exe -c

and hit enter
3.again type command below:
makecab ntoskrnl.exe
hit enter
the ntoskrnl.ex_ will be created.

note that if you do not do step 1,during install process ,you will have error and system will not use this file.
and you should do this by other files too.and also you should have modifype.exe in your system32 directory to do this.

Hi again
You should use modifyPE.exe for files below:
ntoskrnl.exe
ntkrnlmp.exe
ntkrnlpa.exe
ntkrpamp.exe

if you are making xp sp2 all of those files are in sp2.cab and one or two of them inside i386 folder
for xp sp3 you should also do as above for sp3.cab and files insid i386 folder.

Maybe it would be an idea to upload an image of what "screen" you see and want to change, and possibly also mark what areas of that screen you are attempting to change.

hi all

There are 6 files in XPCD that are responsable for boot screen.
4 of them are :
ntoskrnl.exe
ntkrnlmp.exe
ntkrnlpa.exe
ntkrpamp.exe

that are placed in sp3.cab inside i386 folder. (for xp sevice pack 2 they are inside sp2.cab).

2 other files are (ntkrnlmp.ex_ and ntoskrnl.ex_) that are inside i386 folder.
these two files are compressed .

it is clear that fist you should decompress them , then edit and then compress again .
