In English...
When editing the syslinux.cfg to add the option to "shut down" or "restart" not work. I have tested the following methods ...
### MENU START..............

So I tried it with the command "halt" or "Shutdown"

Someone could say why not work?

sorry for my English xD

Por favor, intente esto:

### MENU START

LABEL reboot

  MENU LABEL Reinicie el equipo

  COM32 reboot.c32

LABEL halt

  MENU LABEL Apagar el equipo

  COMBOOT halt.com

También ver esto y esto.

savedefault --wait=2

¿Qué es esto?

Por favor, acepte mis traducciones de Google.

[/SPANISH]

[ENGLISH]
Since you are linking to grub legacy to explain one of your attempts... Are you booting with Syslinux or with GRUB? Which version?

Additionally, when you say that it doesn't work, what do you see? I mean, it doesn't reboot, but is there any message or anything else you see?
[/ENGLISH]
