Their English is questionable and it currently has some issues (no compression, horrible 3D splash screen) but hey...its free.

It is free of charge for private use and can also be used to make applications portable.

Nice.

Though "bloated by .Net dependency" (but this shouldn't be that much a problem if the dependency is only at "build time").

That's the exact same question I had too.

Anyone know if the dependency is only for the creation of the virtualised app, or running it also?

Thanks,
Galapo.

Well, I'd say this is a step forward for virtualization apps in that it's free for personal use. Didn't check on the price for retail. ThinApps is WAAAAY out of normal business/personal price range.

That being said their Firefox example crashed and burned after it updated to the latest version. It's not version 1.0 yet but it doesn't bode well..

So I thought it must have been an incident, and googled their German site, evalaze.de/evalazer.
I went there and exactly the same thing happens ! My entire system immediately crashed and I had to force shut it down and you don't want to know the noise my pc made ! :merc:
I never have had this kind of thing happen to me before, it can't be a coincidence.
Are you all using Firefox aswell in a Windows environment ?

Windows XP SP2 - Opera (fastest browser on Earth B))

But I don't think it's a browser problem :dubbio: , however, just in case try with Opera Portable, there are several versions around:

I also use Opera (since the 90s...woo!) but I did notice that Firefox released an update to 3.6.8 hot on the heals of 3.6.7:

* Fixed a single stability issue affecting some pages containing plugins.

Maybe it fixes the problem?

Cheers
