Greetings reboot pros!

dies hard XP user here. one of the main reasons I prefer XP is because Kerio Personal Firewall runs on it, its the most granular FW out there.

I have been playing with Xpx64 more lately as well as server 2003 x86 but I have not put them to use on the internet because KPF doesn't work on those, on x64 it will not install, on 2003 x86 it installed but I get BSOD  "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" (would the /PAE or /3GT boot switches work to make it work on 2003 somehow?)

I cant find a firewall that works as well as KPF as far as alerting and logging every packet that goes in and out. so I come here AND ask the reboot pros! what firewall will do this on XPx64 and 2003 x86?

Hi SoItIs

You could try using

SterJo NetStalker Portable 1.3

Does Not mention 2003 X86 but it will work with XP X64. It's also got the added benefit of being portable :) SO if you don't like it for any reason it does not integrate within your registry (XP X64) you can remove it safely without any residual garbage within your OS.

Heres a link for the portable Vers

It's prolly not the best but hey Ho, "beggars can't be choosers" I use it & No complaints

As regards Windows 2003 X86

Cannot vouch for this one & comes with caveat

"Needs to be handled with caution!"

Gets a good review on Softpedia though but not portable, sorry

Here's the Name & link

Private firewall

Privatefirewall has been my personal favorite for a few years now. It's comprehensive but has a few downsides. It also has a HIPS component, which is kind of like an antivirus in some ways.
