Cannot really say where they would be useful, but they are interesting:
Atsiv and SysLoader (and more)

Do you have a download link by any chance for atsiv?

Thanks,
Galapo.

You joking right?

The tool appears not to be anymore working due to the MS update:

Lastly, Linchpin Labs would like to thank the many people who have provided feedback and support for Atsiv. We are happy you found Atsiv to be a useful utility. Unfortunately, Linchpin Labs will not be acquiring a new certificate to support Atsiv, as Microsoft would undoubtedly push to revoke it as well, but we hope the discussion continues. Linchpin Labs would like to suggest that Microsoft spend less time using debatable policy as a security mechanism, and spend more time actually tightening its operating systems. For the casual reader, we encourage awareness of the difference between solid security and a powerful marketing campaign.

...but on the other hand, since you will use it just for testing...

...and I have to somehow prove that my "finder" title is appropriate :D, here it is.:D

I will save you the story of the dreadful procedure of signing on a Chinese board (answering question in Chinese) in order to get it, but you owe me a beer....

No, wasn't joking as I discovered the same.

Thanks! Visit Australia some time and I'll meet my debts.

I read on this for a moment ...

Why not post this under the driversigning thread?

Microsoft has worked with partners in the code signing certification authority ecosystem...

Sounds kinda silly, but look at activation and what happened.
...

As a side note, I have confirmed that the registry entry for minimal footprint does stop all crypt calls under XP. Vista may well retain this feature, but I cannot say for sure.

In my opinion after reading the post. The Atsiv should not have classified as malware. It is installed by choice. It is not installed like some mallware does when a person is wondering the internet and then some crap forces itselft to install to a PC. It has a specific use for users and those that want to use it.
