Change Log:

00:00 2008-06-15 (ver 3.1.8.615)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Avlgomgr Updated
* [New] Bin\asmgrub.exe, Bin\msdc.exe. Please refer to Doc\ReadME_*.txt for detailed information and usage.
* [New] Avlsys - Aero Menu File Browser. Please refer to Doc\ReadME_Avlsys.txt for detailed information and usage.
* Aero.sys ( ver. 3.0.3)
* Fix a boot slow bug on some machine. ( sth. like hang up )
  * [New] airoot command. It is used to reset the grub4dos/isoemu/bcdw host path. e.g. after boot from CD, we
      want to use (hd0,0)/airboot/grub4dos.gz as the 'grub4dos' command's service, we can do it as this:

      airoot (hd0,0)/airboot/ * note the last "/".

  !! This aero.sys will be the final version based on the lagency Grub. Next will be Grub2 Based.

  With the time passing by, Aero Studio 2008 is more and more stable. So, i will do more documentation on it. And the follwing is just the conventional verbal exchange for software relese:

  Aero Studio 2008 is a graphic multiboot menu designing platform, including a designing-IDE and a runtime program. It is something like the EasyBoot, but more powerful than Ezboot, because it supports booting from both CD-ROM and Harddisk using a fashion UI, loading linux kernel directly and more. Since you've gotten tired of the black and white boot screen, why not try Aero? The specialties:

  * One-Time Design, Multi-Type Deploy

  By using Aero Studio, you can use any favorite images as the menu background; by using the 'Button Control', 'Picture Control', 'Static Control' and the 'Progress Control', you can design the menu more profession. And these designations, you could deploy them to any partition, or the MBR(s), or the iso images. So that, it makes you get things done easier and faster!

  * Multiple Bootstrap Programs and Disk-Image supported

  Aero supports not only the Bootsectors, FDD-Image, HDD-Image - even using gz/zip compressed - to start your PC, but also the ISO-Image.

  * Powerful Graphic Supports and Multi Images Format Supports

  Png/Gif/Bmp/Jpg/Tga are all supported. When you design within the Aero Studio, you may feel using a WYSWYG web designer - simple and efficient. When you generate the Aero menu, it will automatically generate the right images to display at runtime.

  * Quick-Preview in Web Page

  If you want to preview the design or share your idea with your friends, the "Export to web" makes you achieve this faster and easier.

  * Qemu-Inside, Design to Runtime Faster Than Ever

  Aero Studio can dynamically generate the command line to test you designation using the build-in qemu.

here is an old topic for aero studio in 911cd forum: http://www.911cd.net...showtopic=20108

addition information:

1. I have not finished the chm-format help, so you can try to use it, and contact me for using help;

2. Aerosmgr.exe has bcdw/grub4dos/isoemu/memdisk inside. so you use some commands like:

bcdw (cd)/images/xpe.bin
grub4dos kernel (hd0,0)/kernel.dat quiet vga=788 ramdisk_size=40000;initrd (hd0,0)/ramdisk.dat /s
isoemu (hd0,0)/mydos.iso
run (hd0,0)/images/dosme.imz

3. a typical workflow of using is:

* set the background image of your menu;
* design the menu item: you can use 'button control', 'picture control', and 'static control' as a menu item, and set its propertities, including the command lines.
* include a progress control in your designation if you want;
* export your desination to web pages, if you like;
* create menu from your designation;
* depoly your menu(s) to media: a iso image file, or a partition of your local hard disk;
* using media to test in a virtual machine.
* if everything is OK, great job has been done! :loleverybody:

Looks great from the picture.
First impression about the two things you offer for download.

* Aeromgr.exe
*Real* 1st release for English Users, and with mui support.

Name: AeroSetup_Eng.exe
Size: 7.52 MB
MD5 : 0A407114CF5AC400A94922A045CD2D95

Im guessing this is the one youre mentioning on your second post.

Name: AeroStudio_Eng.zip
Size: 7.51 MB
MD5 : 1B140F3986C4E397A045F52184A38C8E

What is this. It has no description. Im guessing to build your UI interface for bootup.

And do we need both in order to make things work?

For a first release. It looks great. :loleverybody:

Edit: just tried to download AeroStudio_Eng.zip
but link does not work.

Further testing
Aerosmgr.exe
appear to install the "Aero Studio 2007"
Aero_Studio_2007_1.jpg

Help file would help.

A video Tutorials would be another way to go also.

There is some example menus included. Just select Open from the file menu. Could not work out what you do next though.

I'v corrected the .zip download error. It's my fault.

and the .exe package is a win32 install distribution, and .zip package is a plain package - they all are work fine.

btw. soryy for my poor english, i cannot understand you meaning of this sentense:

I was refering to this line for the exe package you offer.
This is in youre second post.
2. Aerosmgr.exe has bcdw/grub4dos/isoemu/memdisk inside. so you use some commands like:

At first I was trying to figure out wether we needed both files or just one but youre new post mentions that they are both the same. So I understand now that they are both the same just distributed as an exe and a zip because some companies or businesses will not allow the download of exe. They will allow the download of zip files. :loleverybody:

and the .exe package is a win32 install distribution, and .zip package is a plain package - they all are work fine.

I'm not an English teacher, just a native speaker :loleverybody:

Here is my interpretation of your setup information text. Please feel free to use it.

Graphical Multi Boot Solution - Aero Studio

	[Author]   Y. Volta Tang

	[ Site ]   http://www.znpc.net/aerostudio/

¡¡¡¡Aero Studio 2007 is a graphical multi boot menu design platform with a visual IDE and runtime. Some may compare it to EasyBoot but with improved functionality. Features include booting from both CD-ROM and hard drive using a custom UI, directly loading Linux kernels and much more. We've all gotten tired of monochromatic and cryptic text-based boot loaders, so why not give Aero Studio a try? Some of its capabilities include:

	* Design Once, Deploy Many

	  By using Aero Studio one can select customized images as a menu background. Using elements such as "Button Control", "Picture Control", "Static Control" and "Progress Control" designing professional looking menus is a snap. Aero Studio tools can deploy to partitions, MBRs or ISO images. Building custom boot discs just got easier and faster!

	* Multiple Bootstrap and Disk Image Support

	  Aero Studio supports not only boot sector but also FDD, HDD (even using gz/zip compressed) and ISO images.

	* Powerful Graphic Format Support and Visual Design Capabilities

	  Supported image formats include PNG, GIF, BMP, JPG and TGA. Designing within the Aero Studio feels like a WYSIWYG web page editor - simple and efficient. When you generate the menu it will automatically create the right images to display at runtime.

	* Quick Preview as Web Page

	  The "Export to Web" function makes it quick and easy to preview designs or share ideas with colleagues.

	* QEMU Integration - Design and Test Faster than Ever

	  Aero Studio can dynamically generate the command-line parameters to test your design using the included QEMU PC Emulator.

I have just seen this post

DOES ISOEMU REALLY EXIST?

I have been looking for some kind of way to put multiple ISOs on a CD and make a boot menu that would boot each one for ages. I had no idea this existed.

But I have a question: where do I get it?
I have googled for it and all I came up with were chinese pages

Well, since it was written by Chinese programmers, that's quite normal. :w00t:

It's homepage appears to be unreachable right now:
http://sysoft.zdwx.com/
http://sysoft.zdwx.com/isoemu/bin/

But the direct link does work:
http://sysoft.zdwx.c...emu_109_eng.zip

Before you rejoy too much, isoemu cannot boot NT based OS in the .iso. :loleverybody:

Yes.

The problem is always the same, the "switching" of drivers when a NT system boots.

About ISOemu read the .txt file that comes with ISOemu and these:

Had finally a good reason to use Aero Studio but there's no documentation available to explain how to get started?

useronce / gandalf: Would you please write a small tutorial explaining how your program works?

I like the UI and the ease of use but nothing beats reading the docs to know in detail what to do and how to apply it in good use.

Thanks! :cheers:
