I am trying to experiment with it.
Apparently it is based on grub4dos. By the way, there is no more grub4dos section in bootland ?

I don't think it is anything but grub4dos (which version?) nicely "packaged" inside EasyBCDNeoGrub is part of well-known freeware EasyBCD for multibooting and maintaining Vista BCD (boot configuration data).

In an attempt to (choose one ):
a. further confuse old time members as well as newbies
b. give more "dignity" to the program
grub4dos sub-forum has been moved to "projectforge":

and it's moderator (yours truly) just found out this!

You are right, EasyBCD 1.7.2 NeoGrub is from grub4dos 0.4.3 2007-06-14 version. It has been modified to search for menu.lst
in c:\NST directory. So NeoGrub should not have new function like booting from iso.

- NeoGrub adds entry \NST\NeoGrub.mbr in the Vista Boot configuration data (BCD)
- the real workhorse is \NeoGrub (which is in fact grldr modified to look for \NST\menu.lst instead of menu.lst in root of partitions. \NeoGrub is invoked by \NST\NeoGrub.mbr).
- So to upgrade NeoGrub (without waiting for EasyBCD upgrade), you can just take right version of grub4dos (grldr) and copy it to \NeoGrub. But in this case of course your menu.lst file must be at root of partitions.

Yep, I am also pretty sure that the menu.lst can be either in ROOT or in:
/boot/grub/menu.lsti.e. in the plain text that you can find at the end of grldr, and that should be hexeditable at will, probably it is possible to add another path.

Sorry!
Made so many changes while creating the new project forge section and somehow forgot to announce the changes..
Jaclaz, would you please create a new sticky topic on the multiboot section to point users on the right direction for grub4dos related questions?
Or perhaps the Grub4Dos section would belong better inside Multiboot rather than project forge?
In either case - how about a sticky post mentioning the different available boot loaders?
