Hello to all, I am not an expert and I wanted to ask help ....
I made a CD with bartPe boot, but I would also include distributions of Linux, in particular 'good partedmagic 2.1

I read in the forum that must be used BCDW but I do not know how .....

Ultimately I would like you clean a CD boot bartpe + partedmagic

Thanks to all those who can help me!

WHICH Forum?

Maybe in the 911cd one:

:tabletalk:

Here you may find that grub4dos is widely used for this kind of things.

Do browse a bit the relevant forum:
http://www.boot-land...hp?showforum=66

download grub4dos, play a bit with it, search for some examples of using grldr as "no-emulation bootsector" for CD.

Once you have the basics, booting a BartPE \I386\ is trivial: essentially it comes to this entry in menu.lst:

title BartPE
chainloader /I386/setupldr.bin

Parted magic may be more complex.
Here is some info:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=4044

there may be the need to modify some settings in it, also maybe it is possible to use the newish .iso mapping features of grub4dos:

Maybe Indy7 was refering to this topic here: http://www.boot-land...?...ost&p=31855

------

On the second version of a project called UXP, I've mixed a XP based PE environment with a XP install CD along with Parted magic using BCDW.

To use Parted Magic on your BCDW:
  • Extract all files from the ISO onto a folder "pmagic" on the root of the files you want to create your ISO
  • Add this line to your BCDW.INI --> \pmagic\ISOLINUX.BIN; Parted Magic 2.0
  • Specify this CD label when using mkisofs --> "Parted Magic"

If these instructions aren't clear enough, download the beta release of the uxp 2 to see BCDW and Parted mixed together: http://xp.winbuilder...-080326-MAR.zip

Also read here (and install nlite to sucessfully run the nLite scripts): http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=3651
