Hello everyone,,

My son has an Alienware laptop and was playing games on it. We stopped for dinner, so he logged out of the game. After dinner, the machine can use the Internet just fine; as long as he does not have to sign-in to anything. He can watch YouTube videos, search IMDB, etc, just not sign in. He is not able to sign-in to Steam, OneDrive, Outlook, Blizzard, etc. When attempting to sign in, he types in his user id, clicks next and gets an error that the site cannot be found.

Now for the strange part. This only happens when using our WiFi. He plugged in an ethernet cable, and voila, everything works. He unplugs the ethernet cable and goes back onto WiFi and we go back to the same problem.

Meantime, my HP Omen is able to log into and out of everything and works just fine on the same WiFi network.

I'm guessing, of course, that there is a setting or security block somewhere (maybe a port issue?), but cannot figure out what it could be. Any assistance is appreciated.

Try removing the drivers and reinstall them in Device Manager.

Try a wifi usb adapter and see if you get the same results.

Try resetting the laptop to original state.
