I used Rufus to make a bootable USB using an ISO of Windows 10 Pro while setting the "Partition Scheme" to GPT & "File System" to FAT32, BIOS set to boot in "UEFI only" mode & "Secure Boot" feature was disabled.

Now, the Boot Screen detects the USB drive as UEFI device but the problem is that it never starts the installation process after being selected! It just goes back to the Boot Screen.

I tried enabling CSM & legacy boot mode, as well as changing the USB port used, but to no avail.

My Mobo is Gigabyte x370 K7.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks so much guys!

When the USB drive is listed in the BIOS Boot Selection menu, is it listed by Make and Model (how exactly is it listed)?

When you select it, does the USB LED activity light flash at all as it tries to boot from it?

Did you disable Fast Boot in the BIOS settings?

Is there a \EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.EFI file on the USB drive?

Can you boot from the same USB drive on another system?

Is your USB drive tested and known to be good (or recently purchased and possibly fake or faulty)?

What's the Windows 10 ISO size? The burning process could fail if it extends 4G. You can also try another ISO to USB burning utility as Rufus doesn't work sometimes.

Really? 'exact same problem'?  How on earth do you know when you don't even know what ISO was used or what USB drive was used?

If you want answers, give DETAILS and answer the questions in the above posts!

Maybe same problem as in:

Unknown ISO on unknown device (but on same EXACT motherboard Gigabyte x370 K7) Windows 10 setup won't boot in UEFI GPT mode by Rufus? :dubbio:

When the USB drive is listed in the BIOS Boot Selection menu, is it listed by Make and Model (how exactly is it listed)?

Ans) By Model Of The Drive

When you select it, does the USB LED activity light flash at all as it tries to boot from it?

Ans) No Led In The Drive

Did you disable Fast Boot in the BIOS settings?

Ans) No Fast Boot Option. Secure Boot was Disabled

Is there a \EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.EFI file on the USB drive?

Yes

Can you boot from the same USB drive on another system?

Yes

Is your USB drive tested and known to be good (or recently purchased and possibly fake or faulty)?

Ans) I use it everyday.

I am using the latest Win 10 Image built with Rufus and on a HP Laptop 15 r033tx.

Also if the issue gets resolved I would like to post the info here. Is that okay with you?

So is your boot problem with HP Laptop 15 r033tx   or Gigabyte x370 K7?

Please give exact details!

When listed in the pop-up F8/F12 menu - how EXACTLY is it listed?

e.g. what text is actually displayed...

USB: SanDisk

USB:UEFI: SanDisk

USB:HDD: SanDisk

etc?

Which options have you tried?

Since it boots on 'another' unknown system, the problem must be with the target system's BIOS or BIOS settings - I would investigate all BIOS settings to look for options to do with USB and booting, etc, and maybe reset some of the UEFI options.

Does this 'bad' system boot to any other USB drive (Legacy or UEFI) or payload? If so what exactly (specify make, model, how it is formatted, what it contains and if it Legacy or UEFI boots).

Fortunately, we have some alternatives for Rufus, like this https://www.uubyte.c...e-to-rufus.htmlIt claim to do everything Rufus can do.

Which is good as many of my friends never failed to use it, thus creating a nice, symmetrical situation.

Yes, fortunately,

Though - still fortunately - we don't have any need for softwares that claim to do something, and rest assured, that crappy, commercial program you are SPAMming for does  only a fraction of the things that Rufus can do, besides "queer" TOTAL bullshit claims, such as:

Smart Engine

Build the ground with sophisticated AI engines, UUbyte is much faster and smarter than other ISO tools.

and (let's pretend that the following is written in English)

The software claims to create almost all manufacturer drives into a bootable drive, even SanDisk, which many software isn't able to do that. Also, it supports all kinds of DVD and memory cards. So, if you create too many bootable DVD, and want this software feature. Then it is worth trying out.

Well, you should try to fix it using diskpart or disable legacy boot (uefi). I think this guide might help you in a better way.
