No explorer in MultiPE Win7 build

"Window loading files" is the phase during which the image is loaded into RAM, using BIOS drivers.
Thus loadtime depends completely on the quality of those drivers and CPU performance has no influence.

A good BIOS USB driver should outperform a CDVD easily (given that the USB-Stick is not a dud). A bad one can take a good time longer than a CDVD.

Hi Peter,

The imagex.exe in my waik installation is ver 6.1.7600.16385. The Wimmount.sys in the same directory has the same version number. There is no wimfltr.sys file in the same directory.

%fastMount% is True

I zipped up the log and a screen cap of the wimcaptex which should answer your questions.

I think I have to test on my local PC:

Remove installed WAIK 6.0.6001.1800 and install WAIK 6.1.7600.16385.
Then do a fresh multiPE install.
Maybe I can find what has to be changed / added in multiPE.

But after my vacation ...
