somehow i am unable to download the
/VistaPE-CAPI/script.project version 15
from the vistape.winbuilder.net server

Oops. Fixed.

I still don't know how to manage a test setup, a mirror-of-the-server setup, and the server. I tried Peter's command file and programs, but the only one that is working for me is GenUpdates.exe. The one that generates the upload list always wanted to upload everything.

Well. I looked at the DriverPacks.net Mass Storage drivers pack for Vista. It has a couple of drivers that were not previously integrated into VistaPE, and newer versions of several of the drivers already integrated. So I updated the VistaPE "Drivers - SATA/RAID/SCSI" script (now on the vistape.winbuilder.net server) and the mass storage part of Dave's script is superfluous (at least until another driver pack update comes out).

@JonF:
Is Dave's script not needed anymore after your update?

As you seems to know a lot about drivers, do you know
why the "Chipset driver script" only have Intel and Nvidia Chipset Drivers and not VIA?

Have a nice day :-)

The Mass Storage drivers part is not needed. The rest may be.

I don't know. I intend to update that script when I get a moment. Lots of other stuff going on right now.

getting a problem with the spybot script

(This project is running, please wait until it is completed. Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.6.2) WebGet - [http://www.spybotupd...d_includes.exe] to directory: [C:\Users\DARREN~1\AppData\Local\Temp\SpybotSD\spybotsd_includes.exe] Socket Error # 10013 Access denied.

I am running winbuilder with admin rights, have checked download location and it is fine, any ideas?

EDIT: could it be something to do with where the script is putting the download i.e. my profile temp folder, as webget works fine in the avira script (WebGetIfNotExist,http://dl1.avgate.net/down/windows/antivir_workstation_winu_en_h.zip,%GlobalTemp%\%ProgramFolder%\antivir.zip), but it is putting the download in the winbuilder temp dir which makes more sense?

Thanks for the update. I had hoped VistaPE would not die as a project.

Speaking of the drivers scripts...

I run several different projects concurrently with different target directory and iso names

Has anyone else noticed that if you change the name of the Target directory on the source tab the driver script don't work? No additional drivers are added to the target\windows\inf or system32 directories?

There appears to be a problem with the syntax...

I have fixed them so that they will work and hosted them HERE.

Can anyone else confirm the problem and my solution?

Megaduck99

ps I have created a WLAN script from the WLAN driverpack and included it.

Had problems with the Parted Magic script because link not ok.

Changed the link in line 64 to this:
And line 65 to this:

It's working fine for me now.

The modified script attached.

Probably there will be a new 4.5 version soon so the above lines
has to be changed again.

You are working with an old version. Select vistape.winbuilder.net on the download tab, download VistaPE-CAPI. That includes a parted magic script that detects and downloads the latest version.

Sorry, you are wrong.
I am working with the "capi" projekt.
And I selected "vistape.winbuilder.net" on download.

The PartedMagic.script did NOT work for me.
After I modified: working!

Also have problems with victoria.
No errors during build but not starting after loading the cd-iso...

OK, I can see how that would work now. But the script works fine for me (see attached), and detects the latest version automatically. Can you delete the %BaseDir%\Workbence\Common\PartedMagic directory and post a log from runing an unmodified script?

Nothing happens when you try to start it? Please post a build log.

also, the victoria script in vistape-capi is outdated.
newer version is here: http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=6673

current version is v.2 and is a rewrite of the old vistape.net script v.11 which in turn is an updated version of nightman's original victoria script. I started over with the version numbers because it is essentially a new script.

you should still post your build log though...

Windows Vista Recovery Environment version 21 does not work with the CAPI project.

IniRead - Failed to find file: [%BaseDir%\Projects\VistaPE-Core\Addons\dll.script]

the script looks for dll.script in %basedir%\Projects\%ProjectName%\Addons\dll.script but because %projectName% is VistaPE-Core and the project folder is VistaPE-CAPI the IniRead fails.

This is still an issue. I've tried with WinBuilder 77RC2 and 78 and get the same problem each time. My project doesn't have a VistPE-Core directory, nor does it have a dll.script file. The error I face is it can't find VistaPE-CAPI\dll.script. Log file attached.

Hey i can help here, windows vista recovery thing has no issue. You simply need to use the dll script in addons. Download it, its on the server. :whistling:
one issue im having is that i cant delete files in vista pe, no context menu shows and the keyboard delete button wont do it either ;)

Same place as you downloaded the project. You download it with winbuilder from vistape.winbuilder.net. Its in the Addons folder.

It's not there. Checked it before posting here...

If it's there, I'm not seeing it. Do you have a direct link to it?
