Hello,

I tried the new SARDU version (2.0.5). I added windows XP, Vista and 7.

Windows XP installation works fine, but with Vista and 7, I have this problem :

Do you know how to solve it?

I use VMWare Workstation for testing my USB key. Is it the problem?

Thanks

Tu as ré-écris le BCD d'une clé USB? Tu peux m'expliquer je ne comprend pas comment marche le programme...
Les iso fonctionnent bien à la base, mais quand je les ai mises dans la clé via SARDU, ça me met ce message d'erreur...

You re-wrote the USB key BCD? Can you explain me, I don't understand how to use the program...
ISO are Ok for me, but after I put them in the key thanks to SARDU, I have this error...

Wait a moment.

You use ntfs or FAT32?

With this error SARDU don't find the BCD renamed by SARDU.
If the user change only one file of the installer....SARDU don't works fine.
Use BCD edit = don't use the multiinstaller of SARDU and SARDU will not works fine.

One test is
menu USB
Fix old Barrosu

and returns SARDU to the first boot

Do you have one fie named BCD_INS and one named BCD_INV in the folder boot??
If no can do you see if in the folder boot/Backup_BCD/ you have the two files?

If you don't have the files...your Seven and Vista are standard?

SARDU use the /boot/BCD file of seven and renamed it as BCD_INS
SARDU use the /boot/BCD file of Vista and renamed it as BCD_INV

Non pas de protection d'écriture. J'ai testé avec une autre clé USB qui fonctionnait bien avec une version plus ancienne de SARDU et j'ai le même problème.

No write protection. I tried with another USB key that worked with an older SARDU version and I have the same problem.

When USB key is formated in NTFS, SARDU doesn't want to install Vista and Seven

Yes, I have :
- barrosu.exe
.....

Are you sure to have borrosu.exe in /boot ?

Testing same setting: SARDU_2.0.5.RC1 ,Empty Fat32 key, Xp pro install + Win7 install + Vista Install

i have the same error screen

if i look in boot folder

/boot/barrosu.exe is missing

so the autoexec DOS from InSeven /Visat.ima incapsuled in InSeven/Vista.iso. fail to run one line

cls
set PATH=A:
c:bootbarrosu.exe -inseven <------------------- THIS LINE
c:bootgrub.exe --config-file="root (hd0,0);chainloader /bootmgr"

grub is launched

if i rename folder source7 --> souces and BCD_INS --> BCD , Seven install work fine
if i rename folder sourcev --> sources and BCD_INV --> BCD , Vista install work fine too

i cant find barrosu.exe in SARDU_1 opened with 7zip

add second line in BCD works well but....

:( wait a moment please.
if everyone does his own thing we don't solve the problem.

For works fine the 2.0.5 need:

one empty USB formatted fat32 (Or without Windows PE or Installers)
One ISO of Windows Seven and one ISO of Windows Vista

After builded with SARDU you have this folder boot (see attachment)

SARDU will prepare all files needed at start of Windows Seven or Vista.

If you rename by hand the BCD SARDU will not works fine

Can you make any test? Check the USB and

1) USB ---> Fix old Barrosu (and we bring the files at the begin)
2) Add boot menu with memdisk (and we have two voic for any boot os)

Qemu -->Test USB

If you have any error...can you send me your boot folder and your isolinux.cfg.?

N.B. If you changes the background, the menu or the name of SARDU files....barrosu don't work and the question is solved
