Oh, man! I could never get the hang of the controls for that game. I think it was one of the first few games to employ rotoscoping (including Karateka)

I really dig all these Java emulators that allow you to encapsulate the binary. jStella is a similar one for Atari 2600 games.

Takes some practice. You need to press SHIFT to walk slowly step by step instead of running. The same key is also used for handling the sword.

Then there are some particularities that are a bit more complicated to explain by text. I remember when I first played it. The game made quite some noise here in my country as it depicted violent scenes (the spikes, blades and blood from killing people or falling from the heights) in contrast to the other games of it's time.

Still loved the game a lot, reaching the final level was surely not easy.

I started out with a PC so I didn't passed through the Atari experience myself, though my friends had them and ZX spectrum as well.
