Hello to everyone.

I'm trying to resize the *.dmg of my MAC OS X installation file because I have only DVD of 4.7 GB and not dual layer disks,at the moment. The problem is that the dmg file is almost 7 GB large and I don't know how to reduce it to 4.7 GB. After a lot of searching,I've understood that this can't be done for multiple reasons. So,I've thought about another way to reach the goal. I've converted the dmg file into an iso file with the transmac tool and now I want to split the iso file into 2 pieces and burn the image using two dvd discs, making that the first disk is bootable. Can this be done ? Right now I've found some tools that tells to be able to split an iso file into more pieces, but they do it before burning the image. They also provide a script to recombine the two pieces into one and then you can burn it. This way is totally useless. Do you know about another way / method to do it ? thanks.
