I was trying to install windows 11 over 10 and kept getting lots of BCD errors. The best advice I had was to rebuild the BCD.

I followed this till step  6] Rebuild the BCD and Boot Files

How to Rebuild the EFI Boot Partition, BCD and Boot Files » Winhelponline

and I get  "Failure when attempting to copy boot files,"

My drive was c but now I can not even run BCDedit I get cannot find the file specified. If I reboot and let windows try to fix it says the drive is not unlocked. If I try to refersh the PC it says it fails. I also cannot boot.

I'm pretty sure I can get this fix but need some guidance. Also the reason the BCD is corrupt is that I ran a dynamic to GPT conversion  It did work, as the drive boot and runs find but clearly not done right for a windows upgrade.

I'm sitting at a command prompt atm.

c: main os

d: another partition I made on the disc

e: the dvd

disk part shows 4 volumes

0 dvd

1 my c drive

2 my d drive

3 efi

Since the EFI was formatted per that guide, how can I fix it? OR how can I rebuild the UEFI BCD
