LOL (with tears in my eyes).
saydin77 caught us off-guard.

@ saydin77
Why not use Opera@USB ?
It's more suited to the task compared to the standard one as it doesn't store any temp. disk cache (pages get loaded to RAM) or registry keys.

script update to v4

/turkish
v4 versionda script opera ve flash player dosyalarini icermiyor
bunun yerine internet uzerinden o anki son versionlarini indirerek livexp'ye entegre ediyor.
su anki versionda opera v9.64 ve flash player 10.0.22.87 problemsiz kullanilabilir.

/english (Lancelot)
v4 of the script dont include opera and flash player files
instead it downloads Latest versions and integrates to livexp
opera v9.64 ve flash player 10.0.22.87 can be used together without problem

hey saydin!
great work man.
i absolutly love opera.
and now that it is in my bootdisc..wow.
i do have a small problem though.
i dont like using any quicklaunch icons.
if i disable your opera scripts quicklaunch option,
i get an error when i open up opera after i run my livexp.
i get an "Failed to initialize module: error 8"

it only does that if i disable the quicklaunch icon
(weird, i know)
its not a HUGE bug, but if there is an easy fix, i would love to know.

=)

Hi dsolomon,

no problem here with disableing quicklaunch
you need to provide log file with selecting "only LiveXP project scripts with default settings" (no need to select all, only the essentials) + "saydin's Opera script" to get the issue reproducable.

script update to v6

[turkish]
selam dsolomon,

[/turkish]

[english] (Lancelot)
hi dsolomon,

i see no problem with quicklaunch
maybe you get the mistake because you updated to opera v10 (I had "Failed to initialize module: error 9" error with v10)
i updated the script for opera v10
to use Opera v10 , push "Delete Install Files" on the script which would delete old downloaded files at globaltemplates.
when script processed it will download latest version of opera

new script not tested with vistape
send log to get support if any issue happens so i can try to help

[/english]

EPIC! my post is in the script screenshot!~ (i am so famous now. haha.)
lol. i am building my livexp right now with the new updated script. ill let you know how it goes in 10-15 minutes.
you made my day! :D

EDIT: ok. i am unable to get your newly updated opera script to work.
allow me to take you through what i did.
-using your opera script (before the update), i deleted install files and cleaned temp files from wb
-closed wb
-deleted old opera script
-added your new one
-opened winbuilder
-started build
it hangs on "installing opera web browser"
i think something goes askew here
IF - File exists: [%BaseDir%\Workbench\Common\Opera_v10_saydin77\opera-setup.exe] evaluated string: [If,NOTEXISTFILE,"%operasource%\opera-setup.exe",Run,%ScriptFile%,check_files]

IF - File exists: [%BaseDir%\Workbench\Common\Opera_v10_saydin77\opera-setup.exe] evaluated string: [If,NOTEXISTFILE,"%operasource%\opera-setup.exe",Exit,"Download Failed. Please check link or put opera-setup.exe to %operasource%"]
it downloads the opera file called "Opera_1000_en_Setup.exe"
and im guessing that the script is looking to install "opera-setup.exe"
i think if i just change the name of the install file, everything will work. ill test.

DOUBLE EDIT: tested, and it still hangs and i get the same error. i tried it with wb078 and wb077rc2. i think it is just something in the script.

dsolomon,
buradaki opera test scriptini deneyebilirmisin ?

ShellExecute,Hide,"%operasource%\opera-setup.exe","/A /S /V#$q/QN TARGETDIR=\#$q%projecttemp%\opera\#$q"
hatanın satırından kaynaklanabileceğini düşünüyorum

/English (Lancelot)
dsolmon,
Can you make a test with this opera test script ?

I suspect that issue is relevant to this line:
ShellExecute,Hide,"%operasource%\opera-setup.exe","/A /S /V#$q/QN TARGETDIR=\#$q%projecttemp%\opera\#$q"

a little progress (pmed to saydin77)
I can reproduce the hang issue with saydin77's new opera_v10_saydin77.script, besides old script working nicely downloading opera 9.6..

More important:
This line is not processed during build,
If,NOTEXISTFILE,"%operasource%\opera-setup.exe",Exit,"Download Failed. Please check link or put opera-setup.exe to %operasource%"
but File does NOT exists (download failed)
dsolmon click STOP button
but he shouldnt since this line should already exit the script .!

I cant reproduce yet with a sample test script, a wb bug or a script bug ..!!
Any feed back for If,NotExistFile ... not working issue will be nice.
Script archived here for testing.

i tested the script that saydin posted in post #17.
and it seems everything is going ok. it didnt hang up at all.
the rest of my build is running. ill test in qemu and report back. =)

EDIT: tested with saydins download above, and it builds fine. but when i try to launch it in my qemu, it doesnt launch at all. the opera.exe process shows up in task manager, but quickly ends.
sorry, i posted the wrong log.
ugh. so bad..
ill have to re-build and re-upload it.
sorry bout that.

ok. sorry for the delay guys.
here is my appropriate log for running the new opera script (downloaded from post #17 in this thread)
see attached.
also, just to remind you, my results with saydins new script was the following.
-powered up my iso in qemu
-launched opera
-opera.exe would show up in my task manager
-no opera gui would pop up
-opera.exe would end (according to task manager)

Hi dsolomon,
no problem here with opera_v10_saydin77_bf.script

besides I guess i just found why opera_v10_saydin77.script not working, simply opera decide to change its installer, so extracting opera9 is not same as opera10 (i pm saydin77 about this)

to update your opera, check saydin's opera_v10_saydin77_bf.script attached file Opera10.7z, you can create your updated Opera10.7z and re-attach the script.

Saydin77 planned to make updates through scripts automatically by downloading (opera_v10_saydin77.script) but opera software's changing its setup was not in the plan ;) . When a workaround found opera_v10_saydin77.script will probably get update :(

ok, i might of left something out of my build that saydins script needs.
do you have any thoughts?
i might just have to start from scratch and build up a new livexp..which isnt much of a problem..ive done that enough that i could do it in my sleep...lol.

it seems that, in his original version (downloadable from winbuilder servers within WB) worked great for me, until i disabled the quicklaunch. but then, you are not having any issues with it. and same with his newest release. i am unable to run opera and you can.
i think the PEBKAC (problem exists between keyboard and chair)
=)
ill rebuild and report.

Hi dsolomon

If you dont have problem with opera_v10_saydin77_bf.script, than Maybe not PEBKAC ;)

be sure: quicklaunch is NOT the suspect :(

problem is about extraction of opera's setup file,
If you install opera10 to your hostos, and than run opera_v10_saydin77.script , it will work :(
If you install opera9 to your hostos, and than run opera_v9_saydin77.script , it will work ;)
I already pm'ed saydin77 about this recent finding :(

The mismatch about reports were relevant to the opera installed on hostoses (Lancelot opera9, saydin77 opera10, dsolmon !)

but opera_v10_saydin77_bf.script must work for anycase :( if there is a problem with that, than my suspect is PEBKAC ;)

I am sure saydin77 will come with a solution

Tip: During your tests to publish logs, disable many scripts possible (especially the ones at apps) and do not include non project scripts (only enable 1 non project script, ex opera :>)

@saydin77
opera_v09_saydin77.script
opera_v09_saydin77_bf.script (add _bf to topic title, version number of packed to description) (title a _bf ekleyip descriptiona paketlenmis opera versiyonu fena olamaz)
opera_v10_saydin77.script
opera_v10_saydin77_bf.script (" " " "..." ;))
