after fixing very minor bugy (wrong rename on 4th selection), i made the script and everthing ready.
You can use script for livexp, or you can use 7z file in the script to prepare photoshop 5.5 portable

(1.4 Mbytes, self-standing, can be run from within a .zip file)
:whistling: , haha thanx thas vvv usefull & small app! 100% sumthing to include in this section
i wander are ther any platforms it will NOT run on ;)
the only thing missing is (my) expreance in spreadsheet use its true ;)

A comparison I often like to make is between WinHex and a Ferrari, they are both exceptionally good works of engineering, but none of them is of practical use unless you know HOW to drive them.

maby some refrence to ECDL) -Computer Driving Licence- ;)

tho it seems winhex is avalible for free evaluation
as far as iknow this is not so with Ferrari . (at least deposit and licence to 'test-drive')
maby soon it is required to pass ECDL to download 'trial-ware' hopefully this is not the case .

#2: I tried Gimp, and it is a very powerful app. But I do not like to wait around half a minute until it is ready to work. Therefore it currently is not in the collection of my favorites. Maybe that changes anywhen.

reminded me of the one thing that is mising from the information on photoshop , sumthing adobe call 'scratch-disk'

this is efectivly '%temp%' that photoshop uses when procesing fx/img

one trick that i found verry erly on is that photoshop will work faster (manny times)
if the %temp% is created on 'ram-disk' as it benifits from the reduced acess time of the system memory

the option for scratch disk can be found in

FILE>PREFERENCES>'Plugins & Scratch Disks...'

it would almost rude not to add that when looking for 'ram-disk' look no further than ImDisk

file that stores the scratch disk setings is created when they are applyed
'Adobe Photoshop 5.5 Demo Prefs.psp' <---Scratch disk setings file

;)

rawral,

i updated batch and script yesterday,
batch:
in livexp for 'minimum photoshop', plugin.dll is needed too, so i add that. In real windows it doesnt need that.
script:
Not relevant for portable apps but also mfc42.dll is needed by 'minimum photoshop' for PE too so i added to script (not batch).

:whistling:
