Hi, the amount of spam and bots in the forums is a bit annoying. Is the maintenance left as is for a reason? Is it because a declining in activity or lack of moderators, maybe?

 

 

I was a former admin for an Invision-based boards too. I know it can be time demanding...

 

I have no intention to apply to be admin here, but I don't mind helping at all with the moderation and cleansing. That is, if you want me to.

I've only been consulting this forum for 10+ years or so. It's been my main resource for everything about booting and trimming Windows.

 

It's a bit sad to find Bootland in decay...

Hi Nuno,

Good to hear from you. I checked in recently as a guest and noticed a lot of spam - thanks for clearing up the forum.

I also have a lot going on and am spending less time here. This forum is generally a lot less acticve, however is still an invaluable resourse. I am happy to help out for trying to keep on top of spam and suspending/deleting spam accounts when I am here - if you want give me sufficient account privilages? I would have mentioned this via PM, however I have PM issues on my account.

I appear to have more mod powers than previously so you may not need to make any changes to my account. I recall limited moderator functions being available to me in the past, however there seem to be more options available to me now. Or they may have been there but were not easy to find!
 
Only way to test fully will be if I see any spam topics!

Spoke too soon. I found a couple of spam posts however do not have moderator access to the sub forums that they are in (the Topic Moderation function is missing)
