I did that. When I saved settings a dialog box informed me that VistaPE doesn't support WAIK 1.0. I thought this was leopard.

Plus, VistaPE doesn't work with WAIK 1.0 installed (it seems I cannot have two WAIK's isntalled), so if I'm going to play with this any more it will have to be built in a VM.

I'm out of town for the weekend and won't be doing any testing for a few days.

Hi JonF :dubbio:

Yeah right. VistaPE doesn't support Waik v1.0 ! it merely supports the Waik v1.1 for Vista. So please select waik v1.1 path with pFileBox1 and try again.

When I did that and saved I was informed that I couldn't do that.

I'll test some more next week.

Tested Win7 x86.
Networking works with Internet, But not file sharing..
Computer icon, right click and select Computer Management now works…

7-Create ISO/USB-HDD (like in your post #23
Build model Create USBDISK
Select Drive F:\
Save Settings
Then I click the (yellow thumb) or (green arrow) to run script either way files are copied to USBDisk..

Files copied …….. to USBDisk are
Boot - folder
Leopard - folder
Programs - folder
BOOTMGR
BOOTLND
menu.1st
multiple.cd
multiple.cfg
NTLDR

This does not boot for me. I have been booting Leopard from CD I use
Build model – Create ISO
Then with Win7 I right click Waik_Win7PE_Leopard_x86.ISO file and burn….

I was using Win7 x64 source. WAIK disabled led to "Error mounting boot.wim". It appears that Leopard and VistaPE are incompatible, so I'll have to try Leopard in a VM.

Hi JonF :dubbio:

Maybe boot.wim file is corrupted so re-copy it to %SourceDir%.

Hi PaPeuser :dubbio:

I have not encountered a similar problem. Please check your flash disk device, disk capacity. Try formatting it with NTFS. Make sure that the disc is installed the Grub4Dos on the MBR.

Networking works with Internet, But not file sharing..

I need to investigate the subject. So give me some time for solution.

Hi JonF,

Short answer:
Click button on preconfig (check here ) before building.

A bit longish:
This is Max_Real QNX's design on Leopard Project, unlike others there are (as far as I know) 4 settings scripts, each have "Save" buttons. Source/HostOS Informations (architecture etc.) found after clicking save button on preconfig script. I do not have full information, but what I do in princaple when I first extract Leopard: I select a source and click 4 save buttons, than whenever I change source I click save button of preconfig.
An instruction also added to post 2. :dubbio:

When you change source, Always make required settings and click save button on 0 - PreConfig

Maybe boot.wim file is corrupted so re-copy it to %SourceDir%.

Good idea. That worked, now I can save with WAIK disabled. But I haven't had time to take it any farther.

Hi xplod

Interesting because I have not encountered such an error. Have you downloaded finalize.7z from the RapidShare Site ?

Hi xplod

For Disk Management : Please open 6-Common.script and change the code in this way.

Before:
Add_Shortcut,"Desktop","","#$pSystemRoot#$p\System32\mmc.exe","Disk Management","#$pSystemRoot#$p\System32","/b #$pSystemRoot#$p\System32\diskmgmt.msc","",""

After:
//Add_Shortcut,"Desktop","","#$pSystemRoot#$p\System32\mmc.exe","Disk Management","#$pSystemRoot#$p\System32","/b #$pSystemRoot#$p\System32\diskmgmt.msc","",""

For Device Manager : Please open Standard-3-Config.script and change the code in this way.

Before:
Add_Shortcut,"Desktop","","#$pSystemRoot#$p\system32\DevMan.exe","Device Manager","","","",""

After:
//Add_Shortcut,"Desktop","","#$pSystemRoot#$p\system32\DevMan.exe","Device Manager","","","",""

Hi xplod

It is easy to make with the WinBuilder.

Examples:
Add_Shortcut,"QuickLaunch","","#$pSystemRoot#$p\system32\DevMan.exe","Device Manager","","","",""

Add_Shortcut,"QuickLaunch","","X:\Windows\explorer.exe","Explorer","X:\Windows","","",""

IMO with unpatched PE3 standard modules it is difficult to have the quicklaunch bar already visible when the PE boots.
There is only a way to make the quicklaunch visible after the PE is up.
