Have doing some further Gui coding/programming, made some color alterations (I found the dark brown a bit brash)

I think you're not yet there with your choosen colour profile.
It looks somewhat sad, even depressed, imo.
The new yellow and the yellow lines look better, but the background colour looks worst, imo.

You might want to check out some pages on the web about colour profiles, though those aim mostly at web page design. There's also at least 1 program available for trail, to play with colour profiles in more detail.

try not to make everything so big, and dont use to many colors. 3 or 4.

Actually you are correct, I find a deep satisfaction when I can say "I have a <something> smaller (or leaner) than yours", as an antonym to the "classic" fishermen cartoons:

Hi all ,

Please consider this project as Terminated/Concluded unless of course someone else would like to to continue with its production.

I have decided that it is a project or idea that is taking me away from the initial idea or concept that it was originally designed for.

REASONS:

1) For my own particular situation or needs, to shrink or reduce XP Home to a footprint of circa 212Mb was just too small, adding further third party programs like freeware AntiVir & AVG & Anti-malware programs, & in conjunction with backup software etc was proving difficult with files needing to be reinstalled making the project very specific, which is not what I originally intended!

Also with the introduction of larger hard drives, making XP the smallest it can be at the cost of functionality is not the path I want to tread.

2) I do not have the necessary skill to make XP very small & keep functionalality sorry!

CONCLUSION:
My intention is to go back to the beginning and start again with a larger footprint & work on a parallel installation so it will not be defined as a project any more. My intention is to make it as easy as possible to undertake so it will be applicable to a wider audience, I will also be working on this idea offline. If I manage to pull it off at a reasonable level I will produce a tutorial if users want it?

This is EXACTLY the thing you should HAVE NOT done.

Whatever was the content of what you deleted, it may have been useful to someone else, it could have been the spark that ignited a new idea, it could have inspired a poet, or a composer, it may have saved someone from a moment of deep depression, who knows.

You are responsible for possibly making tomorrow a worse world!



NEVER, NEVER, and I mean NEVER delete posts, no matter whether utterly wrong, unneeded or superfluous, they can have a future use or utility, if you had published the thread would you've gone around collecting all printed copies to destroy them?

You are right, expecially with the advent of the new carbon phyber 0's and 8's, we need to be more attentive as, unlike good ol' 0's and 1's, they are not easily biodegradable .

We will have to agree to disagree on this one I'm afraid, I have left a couple of posts which have links or info that may have had any value but have managed to reduce by 3 pages, to coin a phrase in this context, less is better! Also I want to try to refrain from a, "yes it is" "No it isn't" "Yes it is" "No it isn't" debate & increase or swell this post up to 9 pages again sorry! Many thanks for all you help in this project though it has been very beneficial!
