This is my first build of Win7PE
I was not able to use Winbuilder to make this PE but I did use
some of the programs after been extracted from the script.

Using Windows 7 RC1 BOOT.WIM Index 2 as base
For creating, extracting applying WIM Images I used Gimagex 2.0 New Version Available at AutoIT Website
After I got my boot.wim created I used a laptop with Windows 7 X86 and created a VHD of the Boot.WIM and added to the Laptop boot menu.
From there It was just a matter of hours to load the registry and find all the dependencies of some DLL.

Nice!

What is the total size of your CD/DVD for this project ?!?!
And please... I know it is a LOT of hassle, but would you be able to make a Step-By-Step Guide
on how you did this build...?!? It would be really really something!!!

EX StepByStep:
1. Download Win7 from www.ms.com/win7/dl-it
2. Extract WIM from ISO using BlahBlahProg from www.blah.com
-choose the iso, select wim1, press apply, wait, press finish...
3. Load WIM into something, by doing this....
4. Add programs and settings
5. Find DLLs like this...
6. Save everything like this
7. Burn to CD/DVD like this...

As I said, it might be a lot of hassle, thing is that you seem to have succeded very well on building your project, and thus you could be of great help to people like me, that aren't that good at understanding all this, or maybe others that dont have time to read and learn it all...
Anyhow, any guide you can make is a million times better than No Guide At All...

Thanks for showing us this, and I hope you will consider the guide question...
Sincerely, AlexData

I will write a small Guide for you, Let me do a file differential of what files I already have on My WinPE
So I can get you the right information. The only part I consider to be a pain was writing to the registry
everything else was easy. I will be writing this on Monday, I am taking a little break off from WinPE., After
spending weeks of multiple compilations and trials and error.

Alex
I created a 12 Page Document with Directions and pictures in how to start your project.
Any Ideas in how to make this document available to everyone on the forum? I can make it
available on Word or PDF.

Very good work Morphs, it's looking great.

If you plan on continuing to work with boot disks, then we can create a morphs.boot-land.net or morphs.winbuilder.net subdomain where you can upload all your files and perhaps add a small webpage to guide the readers.

;)

Well, I have a domain (webserver) where we can put it as both WORD and PDF and as HTML (I can rewrite it to HTML) and also you have the standing offer from Nuno Brito and their idea of hosting it as a small part of this forum/these sites...

Your choice... There are many ways to make it availible to everyone!!!

And good work by the way... Creating a guide that fast...!!! Good work indeed!!!

PM me here, or use the link http://www.alexdata.com/COMMENTS to contact me, and we can get the docs online for everyone to see, in no time at all...

That's good, don't forget to add a link on your signature so that other readers can visit your site.
