What have you tried and what seems to be the problem with what you've tried?

Good. :)

I can see in my crystal ball that your laptop is a LUMM 7847 (Mark IV - Revision C) :w00t:, but it's a bit foggy in there, maybe if you post the actual EXACT make/model of your laptop AND a link to the SATA drivers suitable to it we could make a couple steps forward in the right direction....  :whistling:

Allot of time on the XP PE stuff I find it's not related to a driver but AHCI mode in bios. I can boot to LiveXP on some laptops and no hard drive is present but then reboot and enter into bios and turn off AHCI (depends on machine and if this option exist) and reboot into LiveXP and like magic, hard drive appears. Not sure this is your case, asian4you, just trying to add another option to check.

Which translates nicely, to

when the specific AHCI/SATA driver is missing in the LiveXP build, I change settings in the BIOS of the machine (when available) to "IDE emulation mode" and since the "Standard IDE dual PCI controller" driver(or other suitable "basic" controller driver) is included in the live XP, the disk becomes accessible through this latter driver

It seems to me like a missing driver is more involved in that than actual magic;)

The driver is available in the original post, but without knowing the PCI IDs for the actual model, one would have to include all of those found in the .INF files (which are included in the original post).

I was referencing to the content of laddanator's post that is contradicting itself.

Yes, I know. :) And I am simply adding that your outstanding request for model information is... Outstanding.

Thanks, Wonko for once again calling out my ignorance. :chair:  I meant that it may be a faster fix to turn off the AHCI if this was something that was needing the up most attention. I should have left  the part out about the driver. Sorry.

Strange, there is  folder name XP64A.

And amd_sata.inf

[Manufacturer]
%AMD% = AMD,NTAMD64.5.2

I doubt a 64 bit driver at XP 32 bit. Escpecial a storport.sys relating driver.

How to upate DPs-MassStorageDrivers at LiveXP nowadays?
