Acronis TrueImage Home 2010 script

My first script so please be gentle...

Used the built-in script converter and the Acronis supplied inf file, then cleaned up slightly. Not sure if I can correct any errors that may occur, as it was a inf-to-script conversion and a little knowledge gained from looking at other scripts.

Only tested under Win7Rescue, so should run under VistaPE as well.

You'll need to provide your own files, and place them in a dir called "AcronisTrueImageHome2010" (very original name) at the same level as the script.

Feel free to modify it to your hearts content. It's always good to give back to an enthusiastic community.

Updated to v002: removed the Licence key, you'll need to cut and paste your own (oops), and added path selection to the source files. and some pics

Cheers, Dave

Hi azaghul33,

I used your script for TrueImage Home 2010 with WinBuilder 080 in the "Windows7 Rescue PE" Project.

The compilation runs very well and also the Programm starts when booting from CD.

But when i try to Backup some files or the system with TrueImage Home 2010, the programm says "this is a DEMO-Version of True Image".

Where and how i have to enter the License-Key of TrueImage?

Thanks for help.

Hi,

Just tried my ISO build from 16-Feb, and am unable to duplicate your problem. I haven't tried WinBuilder 080 (only 078sp6), but cannot think of any reason it wouldn't work.

You first need to install TrueImage Home and the PowerPack registered versions (in VMWare worked fine), go into the registry locations;

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\acronis\trueimage - key = powerpack
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\acronis\trueimage - key = standard

and cut/paste the entries into the script text boxes, complete with and leading or trailing spaces.

Let me know how you go, or if you did anything differently.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your answer, you gave me the right hint to solving my problem.

I did not found the „standard“ or „powerpack“ key in the location you discribed in my registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\acronis\trueimage - key = powerpack
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\acronis\trueimage - key = standard

But i found the „standard“ key on the following location.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\TrueImage key = standard

But no „powerpack“ key.

Anyhow, i entered the content of this key in the „Paths:“ Parameter block of your script under „Reg Key: HKU\Acronis\TrueImage – standard“, and leave the „Reg Key: HKU\Acronis\TrueImage – powerpack“ blank.

And now it works.

Thanks Dave

Just for Information, i use the following environment for building my Project.
OS: Windows-7 Ultimate (german)
WAIK: VISTA-SP1 6001.18000.080118-1840-kb3aik_de
Acronis: TrueImage 2010 Home + Addons (german)
Source DVD: Windows-7 Professional (german)
WinBuilder: 080
Project: Win7RescuePE

changed it a little bit, it will work on (win 64 & 86)

you need to extract the snapman64 version from the main setup file, data1 in ._53626858B3C8D223B7E0CB38029AD1BD
