I would like to change my login username for Reboot.Pro . It is currently Enigma83, that is who I registered as, but I want something different. No need to change the password. Is this possible? I can change my forum display name to anything that is available, but can only login with Enigma83, login field will not accept AnonVendetta. Does logging in with email address work? I haven't been able to.

This post is mainly directed at the mods/admins, maybe you can change my name in the database. Thanks!

Try to login now with A..V..

I hope I did not hang you off.

And I think your password is still valid.

Hi, Wonko

glad to see that you "remember" me!

Depending on my age (75 this year), I became a bit more quiet last years :wheelchair:

But I'm still watching what happens here, and when required (like in this thread) try to help.

@pscEx: Username change worked, but I did have to reset/change password.

As a suggestion, login should be allowed via email only. None of that Twitter garbage. Or, when a user changes their display name/email, that should become their new login details, invalidating the old.

How do you do this?

Thanks in advance   T.

I suspect that you already know how (and are trying to waste my time), since your profile says that you've changed it once.

Dear Anon

Sorry for asking a seemingly incongruous question.

This is how it came: at the time when Bootland moved to reboot.pro it was hip to change names.

So when I was asked by the new forum software what name I wished to have, I prefixed "Re" in my name. Maybe as a sign of "Re"-boot.

But it took not long and I felt sorry about the change. Since these days I am looking for the inputfield where I can enter another name.

Maybe you can help me out.

Sincerely   T.

This will probably be the only time I bother helping anyone here out:

1. Click your username (while logged in)
2. Click "edit my profile"
3. Click "display name"

I honestly wonder how you got into the Developer group here. You are capable of coding software, yet it apparently never occurred to you that the option to change your display name would be ON YOUR OWN PROFILE. That would seem to be the logical place to look.

I really do hate lazy people. They have a tendency to waste other people's time, by expecting things to be pointed out to them, that they could easily find on their own.

You should have permissions to change it yourself. Anyways I've made the change as requested.
