I have a guy who is helping with the development of it (he's Mysoft on the #winapi channel of the Freenode IRC Network). I am wanting to know how to have it save the contents of the RAM Disk to a file (with it possibly containing only the used sectors) at a certain time and at shutdown, then restore it before Windows finishes logging on. I can then give the information to him so that he can implement it. The latest source of it can be found at https://github.com/Z...b-limit-removal.

Check the IMDISK toolkit (not the IMDISK, the IMDISK toolkit) which you can find here:

http://reboot.pro/to...imdisk-toolkit/

https://sourceforge....files/20180917/

It has a provision to save RAMDISK contents to file and re-mount it, etc..

Cannot say if it deals with "only the used sectors", that may be an issue , maybe making use of a "sparse" file and doing a "logical copy" of the filesystem? :dubbio:

Well, I was suggesting you to have a look at the IMDISK TOOLKIT source code, to see how the feature was implemented in order to inspire you in replicating it on your ERAM project.

Yet Another Ramdisk

I don't think so. I think the bootmgr acts before the RAM Disk driver has a chance to be loaded.
