hello,

i have a 1.4 gb xp img file thats working fine ,im trying to compact it to livexp or portable xp using IMG_XP_Compact from wimb's package, the process completes normally creating a new img file, the thing is that it appears that IMG_XP_Compact deleted c_1256.nls file which is important for arabic language support so the img doesnt boot up and gives a messge that this file is missing.

how to fix that ,can i embedd that file myself without losing the mbr ?
thanks for ur time

In folder IMG_XP_C there is file mini_xp.txt which is the list of files to be copied for making Mini XP.
You can edit that file and add there

WINDOWSsystem32c_1256.nls

Already existing XP Image files you can with R-mouse Mount in ImDisk Virtual disk and add simply file c_1256.nls to system32

For Portable XP the file c_1256.nls is included in the build when it was already present in the Source XP Image file.
So for Portable XP the problem should not exist.

Without Error Message:
- In XP you can close Windows Explorer > My Computer > R-mouse on drive - Unmount ImDisk Virtual Disk
- In Win7 close Windows Explorer > Open ConfigScreen > Imdisk Virtual Disk driver App > Unmount ImDisk drive
