Run WinBuilder LiveXP and BartPE from One CD
=====================================
hi all

In this tutor i will show you how to run winbuilder livexp and bartpe from
single multiboot CD.
Ofcourse you can have mor options in your Multiboot CD/DVD for example:
Reatogo Live CD,A lot of utilities as partition magic,maxtor,seagate,and ....
But here i will not talk about them .

For this tutor i will use "Bootable CD Wizard v1.50 (BCDW 1.50)" .

Notes:
---------

1.I suppose you have Downloaded "BCDW 1.50" from link below,and you have saved the
extracted files some where.

http://bcdw.wolfgang...cdw/index_e.htm

2.I will not explain the process of making "WinBuilder LiveXP.ISO" and "BartPE.ISO" here.
I suppose that you have made your WinBuilder LiveXP.ISO,and BartPE.ISO and you have them.

================================
Step_1: Preparing source files
================================

1.Make a folder by the name of "Source" in D:\

2.Copy directory and files below from extracted "BCDW 1.50" to D:\Source\

_bcdw directory
_bcdwboot.bin
_bootcat.ini
_initest.com

3.It is better to copy files below from your XPCD to D:\Source\ too.

WIN51
WIN51IP
WIN51IP.SP1
WIN51IP.SP2

4.Extract your "LiveXP.ISO" to D:\Source\

5.Extracted boot information of livexp.iso by bbie.exe and renames it to LIVE.BIN and
put that in D:\Source\

6.Open "LIVE.BIN" by hex editor and Change string "i386" in "LIVE.BIN" to "LIVE",and save.

7.Rename D:\Source\I386 directory to "LIVE"

8.Open D:\Source\LIVE\setupldr.bin by hex editor and Change all entrance of string "i386"
in setupldr.bin to "LIVE"

9.Open D:\Source\LIVE\TXTSETUP.SIF by notepad and change [SetupData] section on it as below:

[SetupData]
SetupSourcePath="\LIVE"

10.Do processes 4 to 9 for your "BartPE.ISO" by differences below:

_Rename i386 directory to "BART"

-Rename boot info bin file to "BART.BIN"
_In "BART.BIN" and "SETUPLDR.BIN" change strings "I386" by "BART"
_In "TXTSETUP.SIF" make change below:

[SetupData]
SetupSourcePath="\BART"

================================
Step_2: Creating Multiboot ISO
================================

1.Open D:\Source\bootcat.ini by notepad Clear it's contents and just type lines below
on it and save:

C:\ ; Boot from drive C:
\BART.BIN ; RUN BartPE
\LIVE.BIN ; RUN WinBuilder LiveXP
reboot ; Reboot
:

[Options]

BGColors = 00, 80, 80, 80
BGSymbol = 32
TopText =
BottomText =

MenuPosition = 02, 05, 76, 13
MenuColors = f9, 9f, 1f, f0, 0f, fd, f9
MenuBorderStyle = 5
MenuShadowStyle = 2
MenuTitle = Boot variants
MenuDefault = 0
MenuTimerLabel = Time remaining:
MenuTimer = 30

HelpPosition = 02, 19, 76, 05
HelpColors = e0, 9f, 1f, e0, 0f, e0
HelpBorderStyle = 5
HelpShadowStyle = 2
HelpTabSkip = 0
HelpTitle = About boot variant

AboutPosition = 02, 01, 76, 03
AboutColors = e0, 9f, 1f, e0, 0f, e0
AboutBorderStyle = 5
AboutShadowStyle = 2
AboutTabSkip = 0
AboutTitle = About CD
AboutText = ~
Rescue bootable CD
~

ScrollPosition = 79, 00, 01, 01
ScrollColors = 87, 87, 87, 87, 0f, 87
ScrollBorderStyle = 0
ScrollShadowStyle = 0
ScrollTabSkip = 1
ScrollMode = 0
ScrollTitle =
ScrollText = ~
/-\|/-\
\-/|\-/
~

2.(Now we should Make ISO,and i used "UltraISO 9.3.00 Build 2600" for this purpose as below):

_Run UltaISO and make iso of contents of D:\Source\ directory.by selecting
D:\Source\bcdwboot.bin as boot information.for example D:\MYDVD.ISO

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx

thats all ,i have tested it by wmvare 6.5 was ok.

have nice times

hi megaborg

1.I was so lucky that After about 2 hours i could downloaded "kaspersky antivirus livecd"
for testing it and answring your question.(I have 256k broadband,that most of the times
acts as 56k!!!!).

2.I have got very hapy that you liked my tutors.thanks a lot.

3.About your question:it is very easy just do as below:

A)_.Extract kaspersky ISO to source folder
:)_.Add line below to bootcat.ini

/isolinux/isolinux.bin ; Run kaspersky AV LiveCD

so first part of your bootcat.ini will be as below:

C:\ ; Boot from drive C:
\BART.BIN ; RUN BartPE
\LIVE.BIN ; RUN WinBuilder LiveXP
/isolinux/isolinux.bin ; kasper
reboot ; Reboot

Thats all i checked this by vmware was ok.

(sorry but i didn't know you had a 256k broadband) :)

maybe one could use the term "narrowband", expecially if it actually runs at 56K ? :)
