I had problems with some of the Anivirus ISO's as well. I've not tried any since. While I had been using MultibootISO or Unetbootin to accomplish this I had a slightly modified method which was to simply copy the ISO on to the root of the device (UFD - Usb Flash Drive) and edit the "menu.lst" accordingly.

The reason I was posting was to ask if you have any plans to include a disk recovery or imaging tool such as PING or anything similar thats highly reliable?

You have problems with SARDU and antivirus?
Ping is this?

SARDU don't boot KAV Rescue with language options etc.
I try it with MobaLiveCD and Virtualbox and works fine, no black screen.

Yes, that is correct - no KAV options menu. I just assumed it booted the same as the iso.
Anyway, I tried the SARDU flash drive and booted it from VMware and KAV works fine there.
From the looks of it, the KAV linux system cannot handle my laptop screen (ThinkPad T500)
when it boots natively and ends up with a black screen. The linux system used by Avira
handles the display without any problems both native and virtual.

If anyone has any suggestions how to get KAV working, let me know .. Thanks

Its just a name. It will image just about anything and has several options for doing it.

Check out PING online or the forum here for more info. I recently made a post that has some very basic info to get you going, check my history of posts, its in the last one or two.

When I select Update databases Avira x USB, the SARDU status bar shows downloading
and then a pop-up if I really want to update. I click on yes and status bar shows finshed.
The only problem is that nothing is updated on my USB stick and I can't find the downloaded definitions.

I looked at the vdf_fusebundle.zip that I downloaded myself and all the files there are newer than what
is on my USB stick. How does SARDU make vdf updates and where is it downloading the file?

Also, I noticed with search USB, all drives formatted FAT32 get listed. I have 2 FAT32 partitions and they are not USB drives. It would be nice if you would only list external usb drives or flash drives as not to confuse the user.

I removed in last beta the upload of antivirus. I have not time to check how works it.
When SARDU found a drive fixed write in Report "Hard Disk USB", if it's removable SARDU wtite only USB.

My point is that the Search USB drop-down list shows drives that are not USB and a user might mistakenly
select one of his internal drives. It is very easy to do. RMPrepUSB and WinSetup from USB do not list
internal harddisks. Maybe you could try their drive detection scheme.

Problem no longer present using KRD ver. 10.0.26.6
