Well, NO.
That's about the Release Candidate of SP1, article published in July 2010.
L is talking about the "final".

BTW, what's the fuzz?

I mean, let's wait it is actually released and available to non-OEM's.

As I see it this is very like "gossip" :

Of course, my personal perception of the "wideness" of the "nearly" as used in the sentence:
http://thenextweb.co...-in-q1-of-2011/

Or, in other words, Microsoft is trying to clear the history that service packs have played in the past, an attempt to tell people that unlike Windows XP, Windows 7 was nearly perfect from day 1.

is "as near as the Earth is to Proxima Centauri".

Can someone clarify how MS SPs usually work - I didn't pay much attention. Assuming the bulk of an SP consists of previously installed fixes from MS Update, will an SP just add the staff that's still missing on one's PC, or uninstall all previous patches and install the cumulative SP patch instead?

I always go to Softpedia for my news so here is what they say:

What changes is in it so far:
http://www.softpedia...log-163177.html

Approximate release date:
http://news.softpedi...11-164531.shtml

All i can say is that The SP will come out when Microsoft whats to,they can only give a date 30 day's before the time,an sometimes its 30 day's late too..
