A portal has been added on http://www.boot-land.net this is an implementation from an italian development called MKportal.
It adds support for image galleries, downloads, chat, blogs, news and a quite nifty integration with our current member list - meaning that no registration is needed for all members from boot land.
I hope everyone enjoys it..
maddocks, thanks for pointing me to this portal!

Its very cool. I can see my avatar too.
A portal link might be needed at the top of the forum to get to it.
image galleries, downloads, chat, blogs, news
The image gallery seems easy to use. There is no way to upload images. You have to upload somewhere else first. I was thinking it would have an upload button of somekind.
The chat part doest seem to be working yet.

Very nice!
What I'm missing is a 'Home' or 'MKportal' link to the portal inside the forum.
(Or didn't find)

The portal will be improved as time goes, I'll see what's happening.
btw: .script developers also get to moderate the portal as well..
The forum links will also soon be added.

Hi,
why put a header link in the forums to the main portal when you can have the forum Inside the portal. There is a tutorial here:
http://doc.mkportal....stall/phpbb.htm
it was down the last time i looked but it will be up soon. After you have edited the files it says you may have to edit the header template assuming that it does not remove the header in the forum. You don't want two headers, just the portal header, left portal bar, and the forum iteself. You don't even need the statistics sections, there can be one enabled in the left collumn. Just have a look in the configuration section and there are a wide range of blocks there and availble for download. Well, i hope this has helped!
