This didn't seem to fit under any particular forum topic, but I just wanted to say thanks to whomever is responsible for the latest WinBuilder's no longer modifying Internet Settings\User Agent in the host platform registry.
It was an minor issue, but annoying for those of us who manage servers with .htaccess exclusions for potential "bad bots". In the past, after running WinBuilder, I frequently found myself locked out of my own web server until I got rid of that spurious user agent entry.
Thank you for the fix!

Hi Arvy,
As Peter mentioned here
First noticed and reported here by fxscrpt Aug 19 2009 ,
than forgotten for a while
And a time came and DaveXP reported here Oct 31 2009
And I had a little push on this topic
and now we are all happy
As Peter mentioned here
this bug fix was one of the success storyAnd tomorrow we explain to the world, how the boot-land community solves minor issues!

Hmmmm. Well, I suppose any group sharing any common interest can be considered as a "community" -- even an irritable gathering of prickly porcupines.

even an irritable gathering of prickly porcupines.
You are missing a point.
We have an irritable gathering of prickly and spikey porcupines:
... and we actually LIKE 'em. (sometimes )

If you mean with "responsible" the person who found the technical reason, did the changes in WinBuilder and published the .exe, that is me.but I just wanted to say thanks to whomever is responsible for the latest WinBuilder's no longer modifying Internet Settings\User Agent in the host platform registry.
But responsible there are also some more porcupines like fxscrpt, DaveXP and last but not least Lancelot, who have had the patience to explain me (And that sometimes is a bit difficult ...)
Community ...

Well, thanks to EVERYONE in the "prickly porcupine community" who was involved. It certainly was a relief finally not to have to delete that spurious user agent entry every time.
