A friend just showed me his newest creation, which i don't want to keep from you.

Instead of integrating tons of drivers in his version of NaughtyPE. He bought a usb-network-stick, a usb-wireless-stick and a usb-soundcard. Integrated the drivers not just, but preinstalled them into the registry. This way he doesn't even need to run hwpnp just plug them in and they start working.

I think he's looking at the moment for a usb-graphic-card. :whistling:

Think there's any chance that your friend could come up with a Bluetooth version so that we could use the various components without bothering even to connect them? :whistling:

That's a very interesting project.

It means that the machine has always a failsafe way to work, very well thought indeed.

Maybe some manufacturer would care to build a All-In-One interface for this task one day.

Finally i can have my monitor in a different room than my computer! ;)

But would make for a really 'silent computer'. Monitor, keyboard and mouse in one room, computer in another. Only switching CDs would be a pain in the behind. Any chance of a wireless gadget for that too? ;)

Those wireless ones, are nice too. It will cost a leg or two to get one.
Thanks for the specs for the non wireless ones.

Not pre-built, but you can make a DIY job, examples:
http://www.redfrontd...cd-changer.html
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/32433
http://www.sentex.ne...ch/changer.html

Possibly connected to a "stakka" or similar device:
http://www.imation.c...akka/index.html

Remote controlling it shouldn't be difficult....

There were the "Powerfile" devices, but they were not cheap and are now discontinued
Some reference:
http://www.nixfiles....ot/rathole.html

But, there should still be JVC and NSM ones:
http://www.kintronics.com/jukebox.html
and surely a number of other brands
