I suggest that with every release of Sardhu, to inlude a list of the software ISO image VERSIONS it was tested/designed/working with.

---------------
Now.. on to my problem

****EDITED WITH UPDATED TEST RESULTS***

I created a ISO with Sardhu 1.0.7.1
and burned it to a DVD.

Containing the following:
austrumi-1.9.3.iso
f-secure-rescue-cd-3.11.23804.iso
clonezilla-live-1.2.3-27.iso (known issue fixed in 1.0.7.2 Beta 5)
kav_rescue_2008.iso
NimbleX-2008.iso
ophcrack-xp-livecd-2.3.1.iso
pup-431.iso
rescue_system-common-en.iso
U_B_C_D_4_WIN.iso

--------------------------------------

The following software did not work correctly:

austrumi-1.9.3.iso
pup-431.iso
ophcrack-xp-livecd-2.3.1.iso
rescue_system-common-en.iso (newest version)

Those software, in the Sardhu created ISO, work in a VM (VirtualBox) but NOT from a burned DVD.

--------------------------------------------------

I have created a new sardu.iso with the current 1.0.7.2 beta 5
I will burn that to a DVD and report the results.

After using 1.0.7.2 Beta 5 and burnng to DVD the problems occur.

Austrumi's Error:
<bunch of stuff>
* Scan CD-ROm devices
Austrumi not found: PRess Enter to Continue
<shell prompt>

Puppy Linux's Error:
<bunch of stuff>
* Searching for Puppy Files in Computer Drives
pup-431.sfs not found
dropping out to initial-ram disk console
<shell prompt>

ophcrack Error:
<bunch of stuff>
* Mounting CDROM: HDB on /mnt/hdb
<computer then appears to hang>

Avira Antivir load ok but seem to hang when scanning for drives when the gui comes up.

Could all this be because I'm using a 4.7GB DVD ?
(With UBCD4WIn inluded.. I can't use a CDR)

Thank you Davide I will test it with that.

I think the problem is caused by multiple bootable partitions on the harddrive of the computer.
My test computer has 3 partitions... XP(bootable), DATA, NLITEXP (bootable)

The burned DVD works correctly in a computer with only 1 partition on the harddrive.

I have not tried a USB Stick, since I occasionally fix computers
that cannot boot with USB.

UPDATE:

When testing with MobiLiveCD:
austrumi, puppy, ophcrack, and Avira Antivir rescue, all work correctly.
