Yes, you are correct. And I’m certainly not here to argue, that’s what I do for a living, and I’m well accustomed to the empirical methodologies of forensics. It’s just the subject matter is perplexing, that’s all. But I enjoy a challenge as much as the next guy, so I was hoping to garner a level of support that could have resolved the issue in a way that somewhat coincided with the method the tutorial author used for Windows 7.

However, as it stands today, no further indulgence is required as I have resolved the XP installation issue by invoking the winnt32.exe file via an Ethernet cable connection between the laptop and a desktop/tower, just as cdob alluded to, because, though she’s a good friend and I’d lent her my Acer, the dear girl was starting to drive me up the wall (that’s gratitude for ya) so I abandoned my experiments and dug deeper into the winnt32 resolution.

So, thanks to all, and I’ll let ya know if I ever get the heretofore elusive method perfected (or find the “Attachment” button ).

Since interest to WinXP almost vanished - because its 3 generations behind currently offered for tests Win8 everyone is waiting for or testing - you would have to register a lot more new nicknames on this forum, so that they can keep talking to each other to demonstrate in-depth knowledge about and sharp demand for the Troglodyte OS.
