why?
I'm trying to create an all in one solution for my work, run vista, 7, xp installation from usb stick, run memtest and active@boot (these already work) and now I'm trying to get dos to work.
The need of DOS because we want to use this usb stick also for flashing motherboards.
Is this possible? And more important, how?

I would set up a DOS floppy image (or several ones) rather than having a "direct" DOS anywhere.
I.e., from Aerostudio I would invoke grub4dos and then, from it's menu.lst map a floppy image to memory.
The image can be gzipped if using grub4dos --mem mapping or both gzipped or pkzipped if using memdisk.
Search in the Aerostudio section for posts by Shirin Zaban with keyword grub4dos to have a few example of loading grub4dos from Aerostudio.
Look here:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=3963
for some talks about using DOS based floppy images with grub4dos.

Thnx for the quick reply on my first post here on this forum.
However, is it possible to post some kind of an example?
As my knowledge is very limited (but I'm learning...)
Thnx alot in advance

Well, I gave you the needed references.
You know how to use the Search function on the Forum?
Try this link:
http://www.boot-land.....ite=+grub4dos
among the results:
http://www.boot-land...?...=5275&st=66
and read the given thread:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=3963
it is full of examples.
It's a two step process, you need to:
- learn how to load grub4dos from Aerostudio
- learn how to load a DOS floppy image from grub4dos

Supposing that your DOS image is win98.ima you should use
command below to run it by aero:
bcdw (cd)/win98.ima

ok...that was easy.... after trying all sorts of things this really works + added cdrom support gives me access to the directory structure of my usbstick
now the remaining problem is that i can see the structure of my usbstick but i can't open anything???
Any ideas?
